As soon as I thought that the sky might improve, yet another plane arrowed across the sky , spoiling the clouds that were forming! It's such a busy sky, but I suppose it's what was there so there's no point complaining! The wide angle at least gave it some movement! Contrails by Richmond Fontaine sums up my thoughts!

Contrails over Chesterfield.

A sunset with contrails or vapor trails, the modern clouds of the jet age.

Caught this at 36,000 feet.

I love the afternoon suns color is reflected in the vapor trail.

I don't like having contrails in my sky shots, but some days in flyover country they can't be avoided...

Sunset over hogbacks and a strike valley on the east flank of the Cottonwood Anticline north of Cody Wyoming. The trees in the photo lie along Cottonwood Creek.
