I love the high-fashion takes on 1960s flower-power that were current in the late sixties fashion magazines!
My Maximalist shoot was an excuse to channel that era, but with a modern twist. This full-length psychedelic kaftan we shot against various lush backgrounds in Monty’s in Brick Lane. The bright oranges and purples really punched out against the busy and multicoloured decor of the bar!
This is another of my Fashion Contests. There are no rules in my contests, so please express your preferences in any way that you desire!
Love and Kisses to All!

We at The Brothers Brick love predatory fish and extreme weather. So we're huge fans of SyFy's high-brow political thriller and romantic comedy Sharknado. But we also love ridiculous New York movie stereotypes, such as rude cabbies and the pointless destruction of famous landmarks. Not surprisingly then, we're positively shark-static about the new follow-up movie Sharknado 2: The Second One which airs July 30th on the SyFy channel. We'll be glued to our TV's, popcorn in one hand, bucket of chum in the other, for 2 hours of deeply thought-provoking chainsaw-tastic aquatic mayhem.
SyFy is planning Sharknado Week in celebration of its new movie. But we felt that LEGO fans deserved to be a part of that experience too. Our solution: Bricknado!

'I am informed by ADDA DADA , who never misses a party, that the winner of the Hunky Jesus Contest was TWERKING JESUS. And "Why carry your cross when you can ride it?" is what REBECCA ZITO when she spotted a cyclist so accessorized.'
In Wednesday's Leah Garchik column in the San Francisco Chronicle.
www.sfgate.com/entertainment/garchik/article/Dancing-in-t... ............................................................................................SISTER's of PERPETUAL INDULGENCE's 35th Annual HUNKY JESUS & FOXY MARY fun....The best thing about the Sister's show were the Marijuana 4/20 folks who incorrectly wandered into the Sister's party space...They were like "OMG, This is like , OZ, man."
Yes, it was.
Probably because it was the Sister's 35th Anniversary and it was an homage to the Wizard of Oz. The lawn in front of the stage was filled with red-paper poppies. There were several 'Cowardly Lions", many "Glenda the Good Witch", a couple of 'Bad Witches" including one on a bike...a very young 6-year old Judy Garland passing out Giradelli Chocolate, an awesome Scarecrow of indeterminate sex, a few Tin Men (and one obviously Tin Woman), and even a couple of 'munchkins'...yes, real little people. Though, ADDA DADA is happy to report that there were no Flying Monkeys.
THANK YOU to all the beautiful adults who let ADDA take their photos! (Everyone was properly asked & everyone consented.)

One more from the Great Texas Balloon Race. Balloons coming up from behind the far trees traveling into the airport to drop their rings and flags to see who wins the very large $ prize.
Better on black!
my last minute halloween costume contest entry at work is "bedtime". i'm just wearing my footie pajamas, slippers, a large furry hat, carrying a pillow, etc. but since not everyone in the office knows me or will remember my name, i've decided to make some campaign posters and pass those out along with the candy.
the campaign is going to be something like "yes, we sleep!" and "sleep you can believe in".
For the contest at Forgotten Tanks of WWII group.
Colonel Winters: Log entry
We inched up the mountain side, taking on heavy German fire. We had lost three of our men. The Sherman may have been the only thing keeping us alive. I was surprised my Willy, Bertha, didn't even get a scratch. We eventually cleared the path, leaving German blood running down the hillside.

This serves as a tag picture, a quick contest/giveaway thing, and a picture of my Halloween costume.
Ok, tag part first. I was tagged by (in chronological order) Sparkytron, 4estFeller, Beakr, [ACE], and Bricko.
0. Zero is a number too.
1. This picture was taken during one of my many naps.
2. The walls are pink and green cuz this used to be my sisters' room.
3. Black socks are the ish.
4. I'm a Michiganian.
5. Inter Milan, the best soccer team in the world, they are.
6. Darth Maul is the most interesting character in Star Wars, hands down.
7. One of these "facts" is a lie. Can you tell which one?
8. I'm hungry. That's why I'm cooking pizza rolls right now.
9. I've been to Hawaii before, it was the best two weeks of my life.
10. Necronomicon. It rocks.
...And on to the giveaway part. I am wearing my Halloween "costume" in this photograph. The first person to guess what I was wins something small from my LEGO collection. It will most likely end up being a fig, perhaps not though. You have until the clock on my computer says 8:00 (EST) to guess. That is all.
Now guess, would ya?
Also, this picture was taken in the future.
EDIT: Sorry people, contest over. My costume? I AM THE 99%!
