No it's not a contest to see who can touch the skunk and not get sprayed. This was a picture I entered into a contest. The original is on the left and the entry is on the right. Didn't win any award but still had fun putting it together.

Luna moth faery doll on blue velvet. Picture taken by Rey Mehlhorn. This doll was created, for a contest, off of a pattern by Sherry Goshon. The body is green pimatex, and the wings are iridescent paper upon which I've drawn a moth's wing design. I also drew the face by hand.
The poetry contest was another hit this year with some great talent on display in every age group! The winners got to read their poems out loud if they chose and receive their prize!
The -CLICK- Photography contest is open to all residents of SL. All pictures must be submitted to Click Memo by June 22nd:
Rules below:
1. To be eligible for submission the picture must include a -CLICK- Prop with use of at least one pose from a -CLICK- Product.
2. Photos must be done in high resolution (exception is the Most Natural title. These will be accepted as snapshots ONLY to ensure no post-processing has been done). Photos should be perfectly square sized as a 1024x1024.
3. Only the photographer is eligible for the prize, not the model. Photographers may model in their own photos.
4. You may submit up to 10 pictures but you may only win 1 prize per category.
5. Photos for the Most Popular prize will be sorted and a max of 100 will be displayed for popular vote at BOSL Radio
6 Winners will be announced in The Best of SL Magazine Readers Group. You MUST be a member of this group to be eligible.

Pete (left) from New Jersey eats in the amateur round. It was Pete's second eating contest ever. He also competed in a pizza contest about three years ago, but it took him awhile to rekindle is love of the sport.

On October 31, 2007, thirty people arrived in Halloween costumes on Fountain Square for a costume contest. Representatives from Cappel's and the thrift stores of Goodwill and the St Vincent de Paul Society judged the costumes, choosing one winner in the categories of Most Creative, Scariest, Funniest, and Best Team Costume.

the sky was clear (you can almost see a few stars), the light was warm (from the sparkling bonfires), there was a light breeze, and the flags were fluttering just right for this landscape. The flags were what originally caught my eyes, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility, and "bridging" the differences between different countries. There was love and romance in the air.
notice the green and red line (and the reflection on the water) is the light of a passing gondola (I used long exposure to remove the gondola and keep only the lights).
I am lucky that I can call this my neighborhood.
