WITRAZ to go!
I forbindelse med Copenhagen Architecture + Design Days den 2.-6. september flytter vi ud i et midlertidigt container-kontor på pladsen foran Dansk Arkitektur Center.
Det overordnede tema bliver hjemlighed, et begreb som vi - i forbindelse med en lang række opgaver - tit kredser om. Hvad ligger der i dette ”at føle sig hjemme”, hvad er det ideelle hjem? Hvorfor drømmer mange mennesker om at have bindingsværk og arkitekter om beton? Vi håber på, at rigtig mange af vores venner og samarbejdspartnere vil slå et smut forbi ’kontoret’ i de kommende dage!

Container City 2 is part of Trinity Buoy Wharf's shipping container architecture, a means of utilising shipping containers at the end of their natural life for flexible accommodation and offices at low cost.

The Adonis had just left the port of Norfolk, Virginia earlier this morning heading south. On the date of this writing, June 5, 2022, the ship was off the west coast of the United States in route to the port of Quingdao Cntao, China, having passed through the Panama Canal days earlier. This is a new ship launched in 2022. KN

I have been cheated. I have been misinformed... This morning The Daily Shoot had a problem and it displayed the "Wall" assignment again. I realized it was a mistake, and kept on checking the site for the proper 188 assignment, and then, when I saw "You may not live by the ocean..." I did not check if the number was indeed 188. I WAS NOT. I spent the day shooting the flood in Warsaw, and then I checked the site when thinking about uploading, and to my dismay saw the container assignment.
This was a quick shot, then. If you consider a bottle a container, that's fine. If you don't, then I screwed up. Oh, well.
Strobist info: SB900 camera left zoomed to 200mm, 1/128th power, straight at the subject. SB800 zoomed to 105mm at the wall through a irregular shape gobo to make the background a bit more interesting (a bit, not a lot). Flashes triggered by the camera built-in controller.
Postprocessing: vibrance and clarity up (+25, +10). That's it. No... Cloned out the threads.

When the shops and buildings fall down (with loss of life unfortunately) what can you do to get people back into the area while demolition and reconstruction is going on. You get in a whole bunch of shipping containers, paint them fun colours and make the most amazing pedestrian mall.
Necessity is the mother of invention so they say.
Ton's of baskets! I can't tell you how many times I've helped unload one of these containers, in the heat of the summer! UGH! What a job!
On the east bank of the Mississippi River -- a container cargo facility. This is around 100 miles upriver from the mouth of the river into the Gulf of Mexico.
The tree-lined avenue in the middle of the shot is St. Charles.
I love this container, but not sure if it will be too small for these hen & chicks and other assorted sedums that I've sorta "borrowed" from various places.
