For those that don't remember, this establishment is a pub, short for public house. It's a place where one can buy and consume alcoholic beverage and sit and converse with friends in a convivial atmosphere. Are the memories coming back?

How did you spend last few days? I must say it wasn’t a joke but it was beautiful. To get this frame I shot 3 separate frames in a vertical pano using the long lens. I was tilting the lens down slowly making sure that camera doesn’t move left and right. Since my focus was changing for each frame, the depth of field was changing too and the best option to blend the pano was to do it manually. What do you think?

Another from those great ragged rocks up at Bamburgh. The photo I posted the other day of Bamburgh Castle was taken from the same point as this photo. The Castle photo received an incredible amount of likes which I’m grateful. I know this photo will receive only half as many but personally I have more empathy for this photo and virtually none for the castle photo. The castle is an icon photo, taken and liked by many. I took the photo for its commercial properties, it keeps me in printing consumables. But this photo is for me, my art, my type of photograph, so as long as I like it the jobs a good’un.

This fox had just swallowed something it had eaten, still chewing on whatever it was.

This was taken in October, the early part of winter when you live in the Arctic. The first snows will usually cover the tundra in September and will stay until late May the following year.

Red Fox will feed on rodents they hear burrowing under the snow. They will also predate the Arctic Fox as well. Man leaves a lot of waste food around for the fox to consume as well.

The female of a pair had scored a Rat (Ratus ratus).

Mice are soft and flexible and go down easily. She was determined to consume as much as possible.

Her mate kept flying by hoping for any dropped scraps.

Hi, This is my entry for Macro Monday's May 06, 2019 theme four elements. I learned on UTube (where else?) that steel wool will catch on fire if you touch it briefly with the two prongs of a 9 volt battery. The fire spread amazingly well. Not too fast giving us time to snap a decent photo. So since the entry this week one of the four elements... I thought it made a good subject for this week's theme. I also try water droplets which is also posted on my feed, you are welcome to have a look if you want.

Hope you like it this shot.

Not the most glamorous end of life for this tree.

An old truck sits in a junk yard and is being consumed by the earth. Soon there will be no trace left.

This abandoned bank building in Rio, Illinois is nearly consumed by kudzu.

This morning's low fog event was epic! I mean, the fog pretty much consumed the city, leaving just the tops of the bridge and TransAmerica in poking through.

Definitely one of the best low fog events I've seen from the East Bay in a long time.

As always, love to be in the company of talented photographers like David and Gordon. Check out their work!

Somewhere in the coastal jungle of Northern California, in Sonoma County, there is a corrugated steel building, abandoned for years and now nearly consumed by vines and mosses and lichens of various kinds and colors.

In places it's coming apart. Certain walls facing the dampness of the coast have collected a patina of green. One wall seems to be missing completely - if it was ever there.

"sometimes quiet is violent"

Came across this creepy wall in historic Old town Victoria.

This old greenhouse is on the grounds of the former Harlem Valley Psychiatric Hospital, Wingdale, NY. Some years ago I 'trespassed--with permission' but yesterday the gate was open, so I boldly entered. In 2013, the property was purchased by Olivet University. Progress on planned renovations have moved slowly, if at all, since I observed more deterioration than renovation throughout the extensive campus. As I reflected on its history, it was hard not to conclude that the probable mental state of many residents from the past now seems duplicated in the depressing condition of this place.

and I said to the star

'Consume me'."

An Arctic fox approached in the distance, carrying a trophy to consume, likely scavenged from a wolf's kill. There are heart pounding moments in photography when the forces of nature and inner vision start to align. It's an excitement that grows out of anticipation. We all long for those stunning photographs that simply won't let us look away but despite our greatest efforts, they don't come along every day. When I anticipate those moments through my shutter I feel extraordinarily alive. Seeing in my mind what I hoped to soon see in my viewfinder, I was consumed. For the next few minutes the rest of the world ceased to exist, as I savored one of nature's miracles. #ArcticFox

"Consumed" - An expression of Fall. The ebbing of Summer's spirit. Do not mourn. Renewal awaits.

An Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus) rabbit is eating the foliage of a Purple Echinacea plant. Some humans also consume the root of the plant to enhance their immune system.

Half boiled eggs consumed for breakfast. A favorite at the Kopitiam, but this is just at a mamak restaurant with the bread toasted on a flat frying plate. The aftertaste of cooking oil is still strong on the toast......there goes my cholesterol reducing diet!!

Got back my Olympus OM2 for repairs on the shutter cloth.....bad news, no parts! I immediately took out the camera for a test. Some shots in low lights like this is not affected....only on bright conditions the rip in the shutter cloth shows some light leaks.
