this place was a mess. check the garbage collected on the bottom right corner.

 

no one followed queues, there was no one at the counter for an hour, i waited 2 hours. no one spoke english! they called out ticket numbers in spanish! LOL. then someone put on a TV which was plugged to a DVD player. LOTR in spanish, full blast. after about 2.5 hours i thought i was going to go nuts. thank god i was called in and given a VISA pronto!

Mexican Consulate General protection officer Félix Herrera Herrera joined LBJ School visiting professor Ambassador Larry E. André’s class on Managing Overseas Operations on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Students had the opportunity to discuss the ins and outs of managing a public affairs operation in a foreign country, spanning issues like recruiting personnel, relationships with embassies in Washington DC and headquarters in Mexico City, the differences between a consulate and an embassy, and the mission of the consulate team.

The American Red Cross Tampa Bay chapter welcomed Consul of Colombia Cesar Felipe González Hernández from the Colombian Consulate and Paola Medina from Colombia Nos Une in Orlando, Florida to its disaster headquarters in Tampa, FL.

 

Disaster Program Manager for the Red Cross Tampa Bay chapter and Latino Engagement Team Member Jose Bueno gave Gonzalez and Medina a tour of the Tampa Bay chapter office and shared the Red Cross's ongoing relief efforts for Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

With 19 years with the Red Cross, Disaster Program Manager and Latino Engagement Team Member Jose Bueno's heart is to empower communities in Florida and worldwide to become more resilient in the face of emergencies. Bueno has deployed nationally to serve the Red Cross in Colombia, Mexico, and Spain. He returned one month ago from his most recent deployment in Brazil.

 

"I feel proud that I can give, give, and give more to not only the Latino community but all communities in need," said Bueno with a smile."

 

On the walls in his office are signed vests from his international deployments.
