Maandagochtend rond zevenen. Aan de zijkant van de sporthal zijn de grijze muren op de begane grond voorzien van isolatiemateriaal. Een steiger staat klaar, en op de voorgrond liggen stapels rode bakstenen van Wienerberger. Alles wijst erop dat hier vandaag begonnen wordt met het metselen van de buitenmuur.
🇬🇧 Early Monday morning around 7 AM. On the side of the new sports hall at OBC Bemmel, insulation has been added to the grey ground-floor walls. A scaffold is in place, and stacks of red Wienerberger bricks lie ready nearby. Everything suggests the outer wall construction is about to begin.

Vroeg in de ochtend, net na zonsopgang.
Vanaf het uitlaatveldje kijk ik uit over rijp gras naar de nagenoeg afgebouwde sporthal.
De bouw is bijna afgerond; het terrein ligt er stil bij.
Restmaterialen wachten op afvoer, terwijl het licht langzaam grip krijgt op het gebouw en de bomen.
Een moment van overgang — tussen nacht en dag, tussen bouwen en gebruiken.

From the dog-walking field, I look out over frost-covered grass toward the nearly finished sports hall.
The construction phase is almost complete; the site is quiet.
Leftover materials wait to be removed as the light slowly settles on the building and the trees.
A moment in between — night and day, construction and use.
