EBMUD construction workers offloading 40 foot long sections of 8 inch diameter steel pipe that are about to become our new water main. Pipe is encased in a corrosion-resistant plastic coating.
Curbs, gutter and storm drains are all in place adjacent to the Union 76 station. The curb in the foreground delineates the edge of the original sidewalk. Sidewalk in the distance has been widened to create a more pedestrian friendly entrance to the Lakeshore commercial district and also accommodate more landscaping and a bus stop.
