A stand console type of Televison from the 1950s and an old dial (i.e., not push button) telephone. This was from the days when a TV was actually a substantial piece of furniture and not just an appliance.
The Mixing Console is used mainly to record adverts. It amplifies sound and is connected to the computer, where it is edited and recorded onto a CD. The advert is then ready to be broadcasted. Pictured, is the Sound Engineer who is responsible for the equipment and for designing the adverts that the radio station obtains.

What started out as a spelling mistake, turned into the final name for this little thing. It's an Atari Punk Console, with added control. Apart from the shape and frequency knobs, there's an LDR for light control and four screws for body contact.
This is the rear view, and the battery's brand name has been censored, because their batteries suck!

Helen at the pipe organ console of the Geelong Reformed Church in the late 1960s. She was one of the regular organists here during our Geelong years.
The stylish church and its pipe organ were no doubt among the congregation's pride and joy for many years, but the rising maintenance demands and the many changes in the work-related needs of churches have long since removed much of the gloss.

This console cabinet has operable doors and shelves on one side and paneling (from an old door) on the other. TV console or kitchen island... both sides look equally fantastic
This Philco came to me after having served as a a community theater stage prop. The radio was beyond salvage and the cabinet wasn't much better. For a while, it had a PC built into it. I gutted it, removed most of the center section, and built shelving and hidden storage into it out of other salvaged materials.
Recording session for the new song 'Loud and Clear' at Headgear in Brooklyn. I'm happy to be back here, where I mixed the 'Wire Waltz' album with Scott Norton. This Trident recording console was used for some of the sessions for Nirvana's album 'Nevermind.'
