This group of Greater Flamingos were performing their mating dance and display for dominance in Camargue, France.

The two flamingos in the center of this photography get their necks entangled with each other.

They quickly worked it out and then the group continued to perform the dancing ritual.

There are nine different postures during the courtship display and from these postures, there are more than 100 possible transitions between the postures.

The dance is a beautiful group behavior to watch and listen to.

View of the Presidential Range in White Mountains, NH. Mount Washington is all the way over on the right. Snow is finally gone from the top of it. I hiked Mt. Jackson (4052 feet) and realized that all the staying at home has left me in a "not so great shape". Secondary consequences of the pandemic.

The first Memorial Day in 1868 provided a compassionate nation the opportunity to mourn after a very brutal Civil War. Obviously that war, along with all others, was the consequence of very strong and differing opinions. Unfortunately, the currency of war is blood and many pay the ultimate price. That price is what we honor on Memorial Day.

I hope we all take a moment to respect those who gave us the opportunity to openly voice our opinions in the 1860’s, 1960’s and today. I will always cherish it!

This experience takes place in an open Zodiac boat, and navigate throughout the fjord and should plan accordingly. Venturing deep into the glacier carved valley provides a surreal experience of being surrounded on both sides by the towering cliffs of the world-renowned Tablelands and equally impressive North Arm Mountains.

These last two years have been really hard for the consequences of the already pandemic drought that we are suffering in Spain.

Most of the reservoirs, whose dams were built mostly at the time of the dictator, General Franco, to alleviate in part the effects of the droughts, are running empty.

In some cases, the level of the waters of these reservoirs submerged entire towns, as happened with the town of Linares, a few kilometers from Maderuelo.

In the case of Maderuelo, the medieval bridge was submerged, as well as the hermitage of Vera Cruz (True Cross), that was partially submerged, whose beautiful frescoes had to be transferred to the Prado Museum in Madrid.

But in times of drought, the bridge re-emerges and we have verified that it is in a very good state of conservation.

In this photo you can see the medieval bridge next to the main bridge

And in the related photo, you can see the state of the water level in the reservoir, last August.

Despite the parachute structure of the individual Dandelion seeds being largely made up of empty space, it is believed their design creates a ring-shaped air bubble ("separated vortex ring") which slows their descent to the ground and allows them to spread further afield (and into my garden as an unfortunate consequence). It is thought their design is up to four times more efficient that a conventional parachute.

“I have not always chosen the safest path. I've made my mistakes, plenty of them. I sometimes jump too soon and fail to appreciate the consequences. But I've learned something important along the way: I've learned to heed the call of my heart. I've learned that the safest path is not always the best path and I've learned that the voice of fear is not always to be trusted.”

When I'm nervous I have this thing yeah I talk too much

Sometimes I just can't shut the hell up

It's like I need to tell someone anyone who'll listen

And that's where I seem to fuck up, yeah

I forget about the consequences, yeah

For a minute there I lose my senses

And in the heat of the moment

My mouth starts going, the words start flowing, oh

Valle de Valdebezana is a Spanish municipality belonging to the province of Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castilla y León. It is located to the west of the Las Merindades region, within the Villarcayo judicial district. Its wide extension offers landscape diversity and natural wealth. In it is the Ebro reservoir, and has scrubland and forest in a high degree of conservation. It covers an area of 156.60 km² and has a population of 477 inhabitants (INE 2017).

It is included in the Ibero-Cantabrian geological region, a subdivision of the Cantabrian region. It is characterized by being considered a folded area of the Cantabrian mountain range.

In the vicinity, a system of shear and transversal faults has been described between Leva Soncillo and Castrillo de Bezana.10 The consequence was an attempt to link the mountain chain with the Cantabrian mountain range, through the northern sierras of the Valle del Nela, Castrillo de Bezana and hills and mountains that border the N-623 road to the east.

Its extension offers landscape diversity and natural wealth, since the Ebro reservoir is located in it, and it has a diversity of landscapes, both scrubland and forest.

To the north it has the Cantabrian mountain range and to the south a plain of more than 1000 m. altitude called La Escampada which is an anticipation of the Páramo de Masa and La Lora. Before reaching La Escampada, you must climb a drop of almost 300 m. which by road corresponds to the port of Carrales.

LARGER ON BLACK IS BETTER

grandeur can sometimes blind us to the point that we fail to see the little things which are just as beautiful. by the same token, sometimes we get too busy attending to "grander" things in life, the ones we consider "matters of consequence" that we forget the simple yet sometimes more important things. have you smelled a flower today? have you looked at the stars? have you smiled at a stranger? have you said "i love you" to the significant people in your life? have you held their hands? have you called or written a friend just to say hello? life is fleeting. and it would be so tragic to realize it's too late to do any of these simple things because we have been too busy with "matters of consequence" .

Nothing twice

Nothing can ever happen twice.

In consequence, the sorry fact is2

that we arrive here improvised

and leave without the chance to practice.

Even if there is no one dumber,

if you're the planet's biggest dunce,

you can't repeat the class in summer:

this course is only offered once.

No day copies yesterday,

no two nights will teach what bliss is

in precisely the same way,

with precisely the same kisses.

One day, perhaps some idle tongue

mentions your name by accident:

I feel as if a rose were flung

into the room, all hue and scent.

The next day, though you're here with me,

I can't help looking at the clock:

A rose? A rose? What could that be?

Is it a flower or a rock?

Why do we treat the fleeting day

with so much needless fear and sorrow?

It's in its nature not to stay:

Today is always gone tomorrow.

With smiles and kisses, we prefer

to seek accord beneath our star,

although we're different (we concur)

just as two drops of water are.

The seawater has receded due to low tide, which makes it impossible for several fishermen to get their boats closer to the wholesale fish market where they are going to unload their fish catch.

As a result, the fishermen and their assisting workers have to walk and wade in the shallow waters for more than 50 meters to carry the fish containers toward the market. And some have to do it a few times to complete the job.

Markyate's High Street follows the bed of the River Ver, so is sloping, approximately from north to south. This is the northern and higher end of High Street. The building reflects this situation too in that one end is higher above the ground than the other. There are consequences if, as here, you put the entrance to your home at the higher end.
