MAYBE IT'S NOT ABOUT THE LENGTH OF TIME YOU HAVE KNOWN SOMEONE, MAYBE IT IS ABOUT INSTANT RECOGNITION ON AN UNCONSCIOUS LEVEL, THAT OUR SOULS KNOW EACH OTHER.

a moment of doubt,

but the eye showed

that the connection

is still there

Taking the Diverging Clear off NS’s Appalachia District at Big Stone Gap back to the home rails of their Cumberland Valley Subdivision, C090’s lite motors will take the connection down toward Cadet Yard to combine with southbound rock train W094 for another grueling trip to Kingsport.

The connection here at Big Stone was put into service on February 5, 1986 by the Seaboard System to expedite coal traffic from the Harlan Coalfields to the Clinchfield and points south by utilizing trackage rights over Norfolk Southern’s Appalachia District to Frisco.

Colour re-edit of a black and white image originally captured in January 2020. Just about to break into a smile here and I love it when I can make someone's day with a photograph. Enjoy!

I used photoshop to crop the photo only. No retouching.

Amazing location

A connection between a human being and Mother Nature can emerge suddenly or develop gradually - and it is such an amazing feeling... Of course it is most likely to happen in places of great natural beauty, like this one... as long as other people around keep quiet.

What does this make you think of, I have tried to come up with a title for a couple of days and its just not working. Got a suggestion?

A new Title has been picked, I think both of the subjects are making connects, one my just be trying to connect to E.T.

Who knows.

Two tendrils of a passion flower plant. Love is a strong connection.

Parfois, il suffit de s'allonger sous des arbres pour se sentir connecté avec l'univers.

Sometimes you just need to lie under trees to feel connected with the universe.

My contribution to this weeks theme "connection" in the group Macro Mondays, grandma's pearl necklace.

Since two weeks I have no internet at home. My provider said that the cable in the street is the reason and it will take quite a while to fix it... :(

So for now I just have my limited phone connection to check mails and other news. Can you remember your life before internet became a normal thing?

Anyway, I'm at my parents place now for Easter holidays. So I have the chance for this upload. I hope everyone is fine. I hope to be back on Flickr as soon as possible.

For the person who is celebrating life today..who loves bridges and light..whose immense talent of capturing such beauty i cannot replicate..but still I try because of his encouragement.. Happy Birthday 🎂 dear Lucian!

this raindrop intrigued me. it held important reflections: reflections of crisscrossed, connected plants. interweaving that’s echoed in the blurred background. we’re all interconnected. our lives are intertwined in beautiful ways.

happy friday, flickr friends! i’m grateful our paths are connected. thanks for your inspiration, support, wisdom, and kindness.
