Even during lockdown
We are somehow connected
We live on the same planet
We see the same sun
We see the same moon
We can communicate via the World Wide Web
We are confronted with the same viral danger
Let us stand together in spirit
Together we are strong

Not to be confused with the Tower of Babel (מגדל בבל or برج بابل ). This is the Tasman Tower/flat in Groningen NL, called after Abel Tasman (Tasmania), born here.
P.S. You can buy an appartment in the Tower.
It's a poor-man's Times Square... LA's attempt to make a cool hip place outside of the Staples center is the Nokia Blade Runner-esque montage of crass commercialism... It seems like a very strange place to me - it was pretty empty when I was there.
See it large on the blog at stuckincustoms.com/2008/06/02/times-square-in-la/
Today early morning at 6.00 AM I took this photo. Mobicom company staffs preparing for some event and made Nokia logo

You know, I'm no different from anybody else
I start each day and end each night
But it gets real lonely when you're by yourself
Now where is love and who is love, I gotta know
Doesn't Somebody Want to Be Wanted Like Me, Where Are You...!

Here I sketched my son playing a ball on the Punta Cana beach. It’s a picture with some twist though :)
No, it’s not that I’m ‘jealous’ watching all my offspring's frolicking as we are restricting ourselves only to cautious ventures into the bush in our backyard where you could probably find some snow in shady spots.
I’m glad for them!
His family leads fairly comfortable and,--arguably--somewhat unconventional life style in Dominican Republic despite all the virus scare that has seized the world since a few months ago.
His wife is an avid wedding photographer, and he himself is a ‘jack of all trades’ in the world of digital technology.
However, for one particular reason their wedding photography income tanked—as you know, all kind of tourism to DR (as anywhere else) almost ceased to exist.
Incredibly, but the debacle turned out to be... a fortuitous circumstance on the part of his technological exploits. A while ago—may be a couple of years ago—well before we knew anything about the virus, he created an app to facilitate the live streaming from the wedding events. It wasn’t an immediate hit, and there were just a few downloads a month at most.
But lately the situation has changed remarkably. Shortly after the virus got its rein over the globe, and all the countries have locked their borders, people missing the normal communication started to look for online solutions. And here we go—now he’s cooking with his app!
And I tried to convey that sense in my sketch—catching ‘the golden eggs’ while playing on the beach :)

As so many things and events fill our daily lives, we may forget to connect with others. Therefore take the time to know more about others and something unexpected will happen.

This was a hand held 0.5 second exposure, with no flash...to get the crowd silhouette.
More balloon photos to come ... as I need sleep as tomorrow it's Costford Air Show!

Pues eso, una nueva rayada que se nos fue ocurriendo mientras nos divertiamos con la casquería fina que se trajo un compañero de la asociación la semana pasada. Qué aproveche! :-S

Nokia's so suggestive with all its "Connecting People" advert campaigns. Now the 5330 wants you to connect an enhancement. I wonder...
