This is Westport Quay looking out over Clew bay, Croagh Patrick and Clare Island. Back in the day it was a busy port, importing goods from north America, Britian and elsewhere. It had a rail link connectin to the main network for distribution. Today it's a tourism area. The old mills are now appartments, shops and hotels and there aren't many commercial boats using the quay nowadays. The rail line is now a greenway used by the local parkrun and the lots of walkers and cyclists. There are plans afoot to dredge the sandy bottom of the quay to allow larger boats in, delelop a marina and build a lido for swimmers.

The science behind it:

Because the X1 was 20 minutes late arriving in Bridgend I missed my connectin 404 service to Pontypridd. As I'm not one for waiting around, I hopped on N.A.T Group 303 service to Cardiff. After two hours on the road (and detours via Ogmore-by-the-Sea, Cardiff Airport, Barry Island, Penarth, St Athan and Rhoose) I finally arrvied in Cardiff where I caught where I caught the 26 back home to Blackwood.

For once, no bus is to see on that picture taken on a small evening walk from our holiday flat. To see is Parpaner Rothorn as main peak of Lenzerheide skiing area, with the corresponding Cablecar station and holiday resort at the lake and some snowcats preparing the slopes for the next sunny day, for example at Urdenfürggli (the one to the left, the pass where the connectin cablecar to Arosa starts) ans around Weisshorn summit.

Working with our local AUSHD school, Savanna High School E&Y volunteers provided interview and resume skills to 42 high school students, helping to prepare them for the next step after high school. Gosh, the timing of this new session of IBIM opening today along with a strong poem was perfect for me!

 

I went to meet my new doctor today. I was a bit nervous because I need to feel supported by this doctor during my medical testing and procedures and my last new doctor (several years ago) and I had completely different view on holistic healing.

 

I felt the cover (stars and moon! my favorites!) on the exam table was a sign from Universe that yes, this was a great place for me to be *and to remember my divine dna and infinite possibility.

 

I am not afraid of life, because time and again, signs and support are perfectly placed, even in moments of doubt and uncertainty.

 

I was going to cancel this session, because I wasn't sure if I would be 'believing in magic' during the heart of my current medical unfolding, but that believing (seeing, celebrating and creating and connectin with) magic is the essence of who I am and I can't think of a better way to move through this time, than the focus and fun of this class!

Die Re 465 ist eine von der BLS Lötschbergbahn beschaffte elektrische, vierachsige Universal-

lokomotive mit Umrichtertechnik. Sie ist eine Variante der Re 4.6.0 der S.BB und gehört zur Lok

2000-Familie.

Technik

Die Re 465 stellen eine Weiterentwicklung der Re 4.6.0 dar. Der Unterschied liegt in der Umrichter-

anlage. Im Gegensatz zur Re 4.6.0, die mit einem Umrichter pro Drehgestell ausgerüstet ist, verfügt

die Re 465 über einen Umrichter pro Radsatz.

 

Somit lässt sich eine schleudernde Achse schneller und effektiver wieder in normalen Lauf bringen.

Zudem besitzt die Re 465 sechspolige Asynchron-Fahrmotoren ( Re 4.6.0 vierpolige Asynchron-

motoren).

 

Ausserdem besitzt die Re 465 eine gegenüber der Re 4.60. erhöhte Dauerleistung von 6270 kW

( Stundenleistung von 7000 kW ).

 

Zudem ist die Re 465 im Gegensatz zur Re 4.6.0 mit der Vielfachsteuerung des Systems IIId und

BLS1 ausgerüstet, welches unter anderem eine Vielfachsteuerung mit einer Re 4./.4.I.I, Re 4./.4.I.I.I oder einer Re 6./.6 bzw. BLS Re 4.2.5, Ae 4.1.5 ermöglicht.

Geschichte

**************************************************************************************************************

 

Nachdem die Kinderkrankheiten bei den Re 4.6.0 behoben waren, waren die Re 465 erfolgreiche

Konstruktionen. Dank ihnen gewann das schweizerische Konsortium SLM/ABB Ausschreibungen

von Hochleistungslokomotiven in N.orwegen ( NSB El 18 ), F.innland ( VR-Baureihe Sr2 ) und

H.ongk.ong ( KCRC TLN/TLS ).

 

Nach der Erstbestellung der BLS über acht Maschinen ( 0.0.1 – 0.0.8 ), bestellten die SBB eine

zweite Serie von zehn Maschinen ( 0.0.9 – 0.1.8) welche an die BLS vermietet wurden, bei welcher

sie auch im D.epot S.piez gewartet werden.

 

Äusserlich unterscheiden sich die S.B.B - Maschinen nur im Design von denjenigen der BLS.

Heute ist die BLS AG im Besitz aller 18 Maschinen. Die Re 465 ist sowohl im Güterverkehr wie

auch im Personenverkehr ( meist E.W I.I.I P.endel) anzutreffen.
