Four businesses on Congress Street, one of the main thoroughfares in Portland Maine. They are Downtown Lounge, Green Elephant, Vice Cannabis Dispensary, and Sichuan Kitchen. The Green Elephant serves vegetarian and vegan dishes and is one of our favorites. ,

I was fortunate to travel to the East Coast with 8th graders for 18 years. We started in Boston and ended in Washington DC. I'm working on a book of images from our trips.
Congress Hall, located in Philadelphia at the intersection of Chestnut and 6th Streets, served as the seat of the United States Congress from December 6, 1790 to May 14, 1800.[2][3] During Congress Hall's duration as the capitol of the United States, the country admitted three new states, Vermont, Kentucky, and Tennessee; ratified the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution; and oversaw the Presidential inaugurations of both George Washington (his second) and John Adams.
Sunday morning walk around Austin, TX. I focussed on the street art of the moment and architecture of the downtown area.
People don't want Congress dictating what light fixtures they can use.

OK, so I have a thing for this Ikea light fixture! I laid on the floor to get this shot. Then I remembered that getting back up ain't as easy as it used to be....
I'm glad that I caught the bicyclist. I didn't dare line this up any further by standing in the road.

Pan Am Railways RUPO 345 splits the signals at the west limit of CPF 195 as it crosses Congress Street in Portland, Maine. The building to the right of the train was once the site of Portland’s Union Station until 1961 when it was torn down to build the Union Station Plaza strip mall. The other side of the tracks has been home to the Cumberland County Jail since 1994.
