The Educating Project: Teachers empowered to confront LGBTophobia is an initiative of the LGBT People's Human Rights activists linked to the LGBT Movement of Pará. With the growing violence against LGBT subjects and understanding the importance of facing violence in different contexts, This project aims to empower public school teachers in several municipalities in the state of Pará, in the Amazon region, Brazil, to develop strategies that can guarantee the coping of violence, LGBTfobia and LGBTfobic bullying, present and growing in schools, as a way of providing to these institutions instruments to rescue marginality, students and LGBT students who suffer every day with prejudice and discrimination, enabling harmonious and healthy living to these subjects so that their citizenships are built in order to become protagonists of their own stories in improving the quality of vi their families and communities.

Leap Confronting Conflict workshop. The Cast of West side story and Conflict Charity Leap join forces in a musical workshop aimed at confronting issues such as gang volence . The 90 minute workshop takes place at 3 Mills studio on London and is led by West side Story's Choreographer Joey McKneeley working alogside Leap's Young Trainers Kareem Maizi and Natasha Aldonza.

June 10, 2010: They (whoever "they" are) say to overcome your fears, you must confront them. Face them head-on. I cannot stand spiders. Absolutely terrified of them. Today's Project 365 entry is an attempt to get over that fear.
I'm too cheap to buy a macro lens. So I had to get up close and personal with this guy using a normal lens.
After doing this shoot, I can honestly say I still despise spiders. So much for what "they" say..........
