The confrence room was buzzing with conversations. There wasn't one person in that room who wasn't important in Gotham. Lawyers, policemen, doctors.
Suddenly the big double doors at the back of the hall opened. Everyone went quiet as a smartly dressed man walked into the room.
Bruce Wayne.
He was wearing a well-made black suit that looked very expensive. He had black hair neatley brushed into a comb-over. He got up to the front, greeted with applause from the audience. He stepped up onto the podium at the front of the room, and everything went quiet.
"Well," he said "what a greeting! I didn't realise I was that special!"
The crowed quietly laughed.
"I'm here today on a more serious note, though." He said solemnly. "I'm here about the crime issues in Gotham. This city has never been so engulfed in crime. Nearly every alley you go down has syringes in it. Slums are littered with murderers, arsonists, drug dealers, need I go on?"
The crowed were deathly silent.
"It looks like there is no way out of this mess that we're in. It looks like we are beyond saving. Well, I'm here to tell you that we're not. That there is hope. You may wonder who will save us from this terrible fate? Do you?"
The crowed nodded in unison.
"This man!" Bruce bellowed as another well-dressed man walked in.
"Harvey Dent!"
The crowed clapped louder this time as Dent stood in Bruce's place.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen!" He said. "I'm not going to lie to you Gothamites, we need help. The crime problems have got worse. The Maroni's, the Falcones, everyone who is involved must be brought to justice."
The crowd did not stir.
"Just watch this, ladies and gentlemen." He pointed to a t.v screen in the corner of the room. It buzzed into life.
"Hello, Gotham. This is Harvey Dent showing you what a miserable place Gotham has become-"
Bruce wandered out. Alfred, his butler, was stood waiting for him.
"Did it go well, Master Bruce?" He asked.
"No, I couldn't take any more of it."
Alfred nodded.
"Lets just go home." Said Bruce as they walked out into the busy street.

Elizabeth High School Students Attend Governor Murphy Press Conference on Healthcare at Elizabeth Public Library
Elizabeth, N.J., December 3, 2018 – High School students from Elizabeth Public Schools’ seven secondary academies had the opportunity to attend a press conference held by Gov. Phil Murphy and members of his cabinet at the Elizabeth Public Library on Monday that focused on the Affordable Healthcare Act and enrolling in health coverage.
Gov. Murphy encouraged state residents to visit Get Covered New Jersey, the state’s website that provides resources for selecting and enrolling in an affordable health insurance plan. In New Jersey, residents are still required to carry health coverage in 2019 and failure to do so, without qualifying for an exemption, may result in the assessment of a Shared Responsibility Payment (SRP) on their 2019 New Jersey Income Tax return.
Students had the opportunity to listen to the governor and other government officials field questions from the media and speak on healthcare, a topic that is always front and center in the interests of residents throughout the United States.
“Elizabeth Public Schools prides itself on providing high quality instruction and a rigorous curriculum, which also includes special events beyond the classroom that offer our students unique opportunities to learn about topics that affect their lives on a more personal and intimate level,” stated Elizabeth Public Schools Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer. “Today’s press conference with Governor Murphy allowed our students to learn more about the complex aspects of healthcare in our nation as well as the function of a free press in maintaining transparency between our government and the general public.”
“I think this press conference was such a wonderful experience for our students,” said Elizabeth Board of Education President Maria Carvalho. “Being informed is one of the most important responsibilities that we have as a member of a community. Our students were able to hear directly from our governor and other important government officials about the importance of being medically insured and the impact that healthcare has on our society, which makes them that much better equipped to be a valuable participant in our country’s democratic process.”
New Jersey residents may visit Get Covered New Jersey (nj.gov/governor/getcoverednj) for resources on enrolling in health coverage. The deadline for open enrollment at the Healthcare.gov health insurance marketplace is December 15, 2018.
