Think this would make a good business card?

One of the HOW (Heart of Worcestershire) College buildings in Worcester. I love the confident, brutal look of the place. Many disagree with me though! :)

That's what he would like you to think but don't believe it for a moment. He has spent about 5 minutes in his cage for the entire 10 days of his boarding experience (his family takes him home tomorrow). Yesterday, he finally got his one suture removed and even better, got rid of his cone. Until he ripped ripped open the suture site 2 minutes later. so, although the abscess site is nearly healed, and will continue to heal without replacing the suture, the vet decided to put the cone back on Moustache in an attempt to slow him down a bit. The bite was right behind his "armpit" where the skin stretches every time this crazy kitten jumps, climbs, sprints, belly crawls, pounces... In reality, the cone doesn't slow him down at all - it just makes him more clumsy.
We are all going to miss Moustache when he goes home but we also feel quite confident we'll be seeing him again. There's no way that this outgoing, adventurous, clumsy, playful kitten isn't going to pick another fight with the wrong cat, like, for instance, the big black cat who lives next door, fall off a banister, land wrong when jumping down from a tree, scratch his eye, rip out a claw, eat something that makes him sick or gets stuck in his GI system... the list goes on and on.
Happy Caturday: Comedians
Six-year-old school children making speeches at their graduation ceremony. Near Santiago City in the Philippines, March 2007.
These ceremonies must be a real ordeal for such young children. This one lasted well over two hours with the children only receiving their awards right at the end. The rest of the time was taken up with political speeches (it was election time) and a few presentations (singing and dancing) by some of the children. See the set (and below) for more pictures from just one ceremony I attended in March 2007.
One single long exposure. No photoedition : straight out of the camera except for contrast/crop.

A young Aeta boy projects an air of confidence when he looks straight into my camera while he remains seated on his knees just in front of some bananas which his older sister and their grandmother sell at the front yard of the Saint James parish church during the celebration of its first Sunday morning mass for the new year.
The Aeta is the aborigine of Zambales, whose physical characteristics are dark skin tone, short stature and curly to Afro-textured hair.
Captured in Subic, in the above-mentioned Philippine province.

Are you ready? Ha!
It's time for me to take it
I'm the boss right now
Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down
'Cause this is my game
And you better come to play
I used to hold my freak back
Now I'm letting go
I make my own choice
Bitch, I run this show
So leave the lights on
No, you can't make me behave
Uh, huh, huh
So you say I'm complicated
That I must be out my mind
But you've had me underrated
Rated, rated
Uh, huh, huh
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident?
Uh, huh, huh
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident?
Uh, huh, huh
It's time to get the chains out
Is your tongue tied up?
'Cause this is my ground
And I'm dangerous
And you can get off
But it's all 'bout me tonight (Tonight)
Uh, huh, huh
So you say I'm complicated
That I must be out my mind
But you've had me underrated
Rated, rated
Uh, huh, huh
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident?
Uh, huh, huh (Yeah)

Confident
This was the youngest of 2 owlets in a local park in Calgary, Alberta where Great Horned Owls have nested for several years. This youngster didn't listen to his mother when she told him to exercise his wings before taking the leap of faith out of the nest. So when he flew out, he missed the branch and ended up on the ground. This actually gave for some fantastic photo ops as he wandered through the bushes and over logs, probably trying to figure out how he got there and how to get back to his mother!
There was some concern that he could be captured by a predator during the night because it was late evening and the sun was setting. They use their claws and beak to climb back up to a branch. A friend went back early the next morning to check on him and he was safe in a tree.
This photo is the last one I took before he fledged. He looks pretty confident doesn't he?
Many thanks for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
