A person, who values the beauty of nature and ambient the world, far richer and happier than those, who did not notices this.

No matter where you go, or when, or how you conduct yourself when you get there.. xmas can be yours... I know, shocking. You just need to imagine it though. It's even easier than imagining you have a penguin on your head and 2 little dinosaurs by your feet... who would have thought? So weird...

A male giraffe calf born on April 30th has joined the herd of Masai giraffes at the San Diego Zoo’s Urban Jungle exhibit. This is mom Harriet's fifth calf and the first offspring for sire, Fred. The 157-pound male calf is getting loving attention from his experienced mom and can be seen in the maternity barn at the right side of the giraffe exhibit.

With last week’s news that U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had conducted an initial review of an Endangered Species Act (ESA) petition to list giraffes as endangered, each birth is a boost of hope for the species. Giraffes are listed as vulnerable on The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of endangered species, with population declines of up to 40% in the last 30 years.

San Diego Zoo Global supports a community conservation effort in northern Kenya that is finding ways for people and wildlife to live together. Guests who visit the Zoo’s giraffe exhibit can purchase high-fiber biscuits that can be fed to the giraffes, and the money raised helps fund the non-profit’s community conservation work in Africa.

Known for its lack of restrictions on engine power and aerodynamics, the Cam-Am racing series provided an ideal venue for Porsche to experiment with turbocharging. Partnered with Penske Racing, Porsche definitively conquered the Can-Am championship in 1972 with George Follmer behind the wheel, and again in 1973 with Mark Donohue driving turbocharged variants of the 917 racer. When Can-Am's organizers effectively banned the all-dominant 917/30 for 1974 by imposing a fuel limit on turbocharged cars, Porsche looked for a different application for its turbocharging technology.

The path forward lay with the FIA's Group 4 category, which required Porsche to homologate its 934 contender for the inaugural 1976 season. Introduced at the 1974 Paris Motor Show, the 911 Turbo (Type 930) would serve as the 934's homologated counterpart, featuring a 3.0-liter flat-six engine fitted with a single turbocharger, flared wheel arches to accommodate wider wheels and tires, upgraded suspension, and a “whale tail” rear spoiler. Zero to 100 km/h occurred in 5.7 seconds on the way to a 250-km/h top speed—figures few other cars of the period could match.

One of just a mere 274 built in the first year of production to meet the homologation requirements of FIA Group 4—which mandated 400 units within the first 24 months of manufacture—this “H-series” 930 epitomizes the raw, purpose-first character of the earliest Turbos. These pioneering cars are readily identified by 1975-only features like body-colored flag mirrors and cabins that—by Porsche's typically luxurious standards—are deliberately spartan, featuring provisions for roll-cage mounting points and, on RoW examples, omit both the double-stitched door panels and center console. The result is a lighter, more responsive driving experience, standing apart from later, more luxuriously trimmed 930 variants. Completed in April of 1975, this example was finished as it presents today in iconic Grand Prix White over Black leather upholstery, accented by bold MacLachlan tartan seat and door inserts. Factory equipment included staggered 7 by 15-inch front and 8 by 15-inch rear Fuchs alloy wheels with low-profile 50-series Pirelli P7 Cinturato tires and an electric sunroof, and it was distributed new via MAHAG in Munich, Germany.

The car is believed to have resided in Germany during its early life and later found its way to Italy. There, it was purchased by the current owner after it had undergone a comprehensive restoration which saw the odometer reset to zero. The current owner brought the car back to Germany in 2020 and has since traveled only some 7,000 kilometers as indicated by the odometer.

In recent years, the 122nd Turbo ever built has been expertly maintained by Sportwagen & Mobiler Rennsportservice in Langenfeld, where the car was comprehensively recommissioned in 2020 with an engine-out service including a new clutch and flywheel, rebuilt CIS fuel distributor and warm-up regulator, comprehensive electrical work, and new sunroof seals, followed by new front brake discs and pads. In 2021, the transaxle was overhauled with fresh synchros and shift components, 2022 brought routine service with oil/brake-fluid changes and renewed oil lines, and in 2023 both fuel pumps and the V-belt were replaced. In 2024, the Turbo received fresh Pirelli P6000 tires, while in 2025 the turbo hardware was replaced to original-type specification—including the factory rear silencer and turbo/wastegate carrier—as well as a new battery and radio antenna. The total investment between 2020-2025 has exceeded €23.000, documented in invoices on file.

Presented in lovely, largely original condition and wearing its era-evoking livery, this early 911 Turbo crucially retains its matching-numbers engine, with the number corresponding to a copy of the factory data card on file. Well-maintained, the car has benefitted from recent mechanical work and is fitted with the original exhaust system, a rare feature indeed. A compelling, first-series Turbo with the desirable early features, this H-series 930 offers a rare opportunity to acquire an extremely early homologation model (the 122nd built) of the iconic 911 Turbo, which had reached a staggering 87,520 examples by 2019.

Geeente, eu to apaixonaaada...

Merlin Mk3 is a new aircraft type for the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF). It will advance capability for the primary customer, The Royal Marines.

To take on the demanding Commando Role (from ship to shore operations) the current Merlin Mk3 fleet will undergo an upgrade package through an interim model. It will then move towards the advanced Merlin Mk4.

This will further increase the capability of this proven battlefield helicopter.

For the second consecutive year, the U.S. Marshals Service has conducted a high-impact national fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders. This six-week initiative, called Operation Violence Reduction12 (Operation VR12), resulted in the arrest of more than 8,075 gang members, sex offenders and other violent criminals.

While Operation VR12 was conducted nationwide in all 94 federal judicial districts, U.S. Marshals focused special attention on 12 selected locations, designated as priority cities by the U.S. Department of Justice: Baltimore; Brooklyn, New York; Camden, New Jersey; Chicago, Illinois; Compton, California; Fresno, California; Gary, Indiana; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; New Orleans; Oakland, California; Savannah, Georgia; and Washington, D.C.

In order to have the greatest impact on violent crime, Operation VR12 focused on fugitives who had three or more prior felony arrests for crimes such as murder, attempted murder, robbery, aggravated assault, arson, abduction/kidnapping, weapon offenses, sexual assault, child molestation and narcotics. Operation VR12 investigators increased their focus on fugitives accused of sex crimes and on the recovery of missing children.

Between February 1 and March 11, the U.S. Marshals Service used its multi-jurisdictional investigative authority and fugitive task force network to arrest 648 gang members and others wanted on charges including 559 for homicide; and 946 for sexual offenses. In addition, investigators seized 463 firearms, $390,360 in currency, and more than 71 kilograms of illegal narcotics. Also during the operation, investigators recovered 17 children who had been abducted and reported missing.

Bjos

Following the rise of Proxies, most operators lacked the network infrastructure to conduct long range remote operations with their robotic avatars. As a solution, hackers began constructing their own networks of relays, utilizing decommissioned orbital satellite systems and abandoned radio towers. For a while, their activities remained discreet and unnoticed.

Soon, however, instances of ‘satellite jockeying’ were reported on active government and corporate satellite arrays. Attempts were made to restrict the networks, while authorities went to work tracking down and penalizing anyone caught in the act, disrupting proxy operations worldwide.

At the same time, local and federal governments around the world began heavily regulating the burgeoning proxy and remote presence movements. These included mandating licenses, permits, taxes, and a myriad of other bureaucratic red tape.

These tensions slowly built into a tinderbox within the proxy community, and many were more than willing to set it off. This culminated into what became known as ‘The Orbit Wars’, an extended period of social unrest and cyberwarfare between pro-proxy groups, corporate lobbyists, and numerous government agencies around the world. This ranged from petty civil disobedience and armed standoffs to full scale targeted cyberattacks. Disabling of network infrastructure and jamming were common on both sides. Many high-profile hackers made their mark in these years, most notably the infamous ‘Fabled Three’.

Eventually, tensions simmered as organizations attempted to appease and accommodate proxy operations. Bandwidth was partitioned to private networks, while private aerospace corporations stepped in to feed the market gap by establishing their own dedicated ‘for-lease’ satellite grids. Meanwhile, regulations on proxy operations were rolled back, though not by much.

Many veteran proxy operators still feel the heat of those days, and the distrust and ire toward authority never fully went away. Wary of government or corporate outlets, many prefer to stick with the ‘old fashioned’ means of decentralized homemade meshnets and third-party software.

YOU CAN SEE WHY THIS WAS TAKING SO LONG

Yeah, this image is just caked in edgy inflammatory symbolism. At the same time, I'm outrageously proud of how it turned out

I mean, it was briefly touched upon in the previous part, so that was good enough to do a whole lore piece on it. Where else am I gonna fit it in? :/

Pretty much just laying out the culture and political climate of the Proxy universe.
