霧氷ができる条件は何でしょう。
この日は低い気温、晴れ、無風という条件が揃いました。
もう一つ大事な条件が欠けていたので霧氷はつきませんでした。
身を持ってその条件の必要性を感じました。
後ろの山には北西側に霧氷が付いていますが、東南には霧氷がつきませんでした。
霧氷は太陽が溶かしたのではなく、つかなかったのです。
これがこの地域で霧氷がつく条件の大きなヒントになります。
What are the conditions for rime formation?
On this day, the conditions of low temperature, sunny weather, and no wind were met.
I didn't get hoarfrost because I lacked another important condition.
I felt the need for that condition.
The mountain behind had hoarfrost on the northwest side, but no hoarfrost on the southeast.
The hoarfrost did not melt the sun, but did not.
This is a great hint of the conditions for rime in this area.
Taken at RSPB Arne, Dorset. Not my first sightings this year but my first images taken. Not in the best of condition but a good sign that spring is just round the corner. Last year was not the best with many species dropping in the number counted within the county so hoping this could be a better start for 2017.

Consequently, I have chosen to explore digital AI artwork as an alternative. I understand that this may not be everyone's cup of tea, as it diverges from traditional photography. However, I have always granted myself the freedom to exercise artistic license and pursue whatever brings me joy. Currently, digital AI artwork fulfills that purpose, at least for the time being.

Die repräsentative Dreiflügelanlage des Leipziger Stadtbades im Stil des Historismus wurde nach dreijähriger Bauzeit 1916 eröffnet und musste im Juli 2004 aufgrund des schlechten baulichen Zustands geschlossen werden. Herzstück des Stadtbads war die Damensauna im maurischen Stil, die heute unter Denkmalschutz steht.

The grand, three-winged complex of the Leipzig Municipal Baths—designed in the Historicist style—opened in 1916 following a three-year construction period; it was forced to close in July 2004 due to its poor structural condition. The centerpiece of the facility was the women’s sauna, designed in a Moorish style, which is now a protected historic landmark.

Vedado is bordered to the east by Central Havana district and west by the Miramar district, just north of Plaza de la Revolución, the central administrative division of the Cuban government. In early colonial times, it was forbidden to build on these lands to be able to see at far the enemy fleets coming. Hence the name of Vedado, which means forbidden in Spanish.

Before knowing the weather condition of the Himalayan region we should understand its geography. The Himalayan region covers an area of 2,250 km with an average width of 200 km.
The forest belt of the Himalayan region consists of Oak, Rhododendron, Birch, Pine, Deodar, and Fir. And the monsoon season in this region lasts for mid June till the end of September. The Himalayas influences the meteorological conditions in the Indian subcontinent to the south and in the Central Asian highlands to the north to a great extent. It acts a climatic divider circulating the air and water system to a great extent. Because of its altitude and location it blocks the passage of the cold winds coming from the north to the Indian sub continent thereby making India's climate much more moderate. It also influences the rainfall pattern in India. The combined effect of rainfall, latitude and altitude largely influences the forests belts in the Himalayan region. The rainfall is mostly recorded during the monsoon time of June to September but it decreases as you travel from east to west. The snow-capped ranges of the Himalayas stretch 2, 250 km from the Namcha Barwa to Nanga Parbat on the Indus. The range extends from east to west up to central-Nepal and then takes a southeast to northwest direction.

The walls of the Nave were built of limestone in 1430 and the Chancel and Tower of pink sandstone in 1480. The splendid roofs are five hundred years old - the Nave roof, barrel beam in design and unique in this Diocese, shows considerable traces of its original brilliant colouring and gilt. The Chancel roof, arch camber beam in construction and with rare panelled sections with tie beams, was never painted but both roofs are of exceptional beauty of design and in excellent condition.
Previously a Norman Chapel stood on this site, probably resembling the chapel which now stands in the churchyard at Prestbury.

Water lilies are a well studied clade of plants because their large flowers with multiple unspecialized parts were initially considered to represent the floral pattern of the earliest flowering plants, and later genetic studies confirmed their evolutionary position as basal angiosperms. Analyses of floral morphology and molecular characteristics and comparisons with a sister taxon, the family Cabombaceae, indicate, however, that the flowers of extant water lilies with the most floral parts are more derived than the genera with fewer floral parts. Genera with more floral parts, Nuphar, Nymphaea, Victoria, have a beetle pollination syndrome, while genera with fewer parts are pollinated by flies or bees, or are self- or wind-pollinated Thus, the large number of relatively unspecialized floral organs in the Nymphaeaceae is not an ancestral condition for the clade.

With roots dating back to 1873, the Rutledge Home name is deeply embedded in the Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin community.
As a memorial to his wife, Hannah, and a desire to provide shelter and care for the aged, Mr. Edward Rutledge, bequeathed funds in his will for the construction of The Hannah M. Rutledge Home for the Aged. Construction took place from 1910-1913, and on May 1, 1913 the home opened at 300 Bridgewater Avenue in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Those that moved in could stay at Rutledge Home for as long as they needed, under the condition they turned over all of their assets to Rutledge Charities upon their passing.

Calverton Road Nature Reserve. Nottinghamshire.
A rather poor condition Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Nottinghamshire. There is evidence of old burnt furniture, empty bottles and cans of alcohol and so called 'energy' drinks. Parking is poor, limited to only a few vehicles.
This site, which was once a domestic rubbish tip, covers almost three hectares and is licensed by the Trust from Gedling Borough Council. Following its closure as a tip the site was capped and landscaped. Over the years many hundreds of trees have been planted and new areas of grasslands have been created.

Judging by the worn condition of this monarch, I'm guessing it was a returnee from spending the winter in Mexico. Not far away from this guy there was what looked like a new generation monarch feeding at the same time.
