Today is a day off work and I am excited to have planned a visit to the local cultural center to attend a classical concert. One of the performers is an acquaintance of mine and I am pleased to be seeing her with some of my friends. We also intend to share a meal together while we are out. For this occasion not only have I decided to tux myself in a very formal outfit including my new tuxedo skirt, I will wear this for a significant portion of my day even at home to enjoy the feeling of being so well dressed and get into a proper mindset. I love classical events such as these and getting dressed well before the event only heightens the anticipation and excitement for me. My "formal day at home" will be spent relaxing and working on the computer, as well as completing some news reports and journal entries. I enjoy writing down my thoughts and ideas, especially while dressed nice. This makes me feel very proper and ladylike as if I am in a different era.
Attending classical concerts and operas is a favourite activity of mine, and I have been doing this tuxxed for the last several times I've gone. I remember I was nervous at being overdresssed the first time I wore a tuxedo, because dressing well is quite rare these days but I feel that a formal and elegant event such as this should be enjoyed wearing formal and elegant clothing. Of course the staff at these events dress nicely as well, and I have received several compliments from them in the past. This does make me feel good, and I no longer feel nervous being so overdressed compared to the other guests. I am happy to be myself and dress in the manner I enjoy. I wish you a wonderfully dressed Friday.
