* El Parque de las Ciencias de Granada es un museo interactivo. Fue inaugurado en mayo de 1995. Está situado en la zona sur de la ciudad. Ocupa en la actualidad 70.000 m². Granada. Andalucía.

* Su estructura se reparte en cuatro espacios principales.

Edificio Macroscopio: (Pabellón Viaje al Cuerpo Humano, Pabellón Cultura de la Prevención, Sala Explora, el Desván del Museo, Pabellón Margarita Salas, Pabellón de exposiciones temporales, y Leonardo Da Vinci).

Edificio Péndulo de Foucault: (Sala Eureka, Sala Percepción, Sala Biosfera, Explora, Pabellón de exposiciones temporales, Planetario Digital).

…La ciencia ha transformado nuestra manera de pensar y, por tanto, nuestra manera de vivir, nuestra manera de ser hombres. El conocimiento científico forma parte del conjunto de conocimientos y habilidades con las que, como hombres, nos enfrentamos al mundo y nos relacionamos con nuestros semejantes. Es parte esencial de nuestra condición de seres humanos. Es parte esencial de nuestra cultura. La ciencia se basa en la creencia de que el Universo, el mundo material, es comprensible y que nosotros podemos encontrar la llave para entenderlo. Este es un cambio conceptual enorme.

Por desgracia, la separación de facto del conocimiento en dos grandes ramas (humanidades y ciencias), tal y como denunció el científico y novelista C.P. Snow, ha supuesto la compartimentación de la actividad intelectual y, en muchos casos, el alejamiento por parte de la sociedad del conocimiento científico. Pero para nuestra cultura es tan importante conocer la estructura de doble hélice del ADN (y la historia de su descubrimiento) como las obra de Miguel de Cervantes…

still cold, with hard rain and often stormy winds... interjected by a few sunny days full of hope and promise.

Slowly you see the earth come to life again, the grass turns greener and dashes of colour appear.

Our thick clothing replaced by more vibrant fabrics, boots discarded for daintier shoes.

We begin to feel 'lighter'?

We start to dream of summer, lol.

These are a smaller variety (a flower not much bigger than my thumbnail!), that I have in garden at the moment, I could not resist photographing them in the studio...

Debra Lynch made a decent photograph better with her digital touch. Image was simply bubbles in a blue basin of water I left out doors for thirsty critters. Used a macro lens.
