Chris was using rented back hoe with an articulated arm. At first I wondered why he did not work 12 hours per day to fully utilize the equipment and take advantage of the weather. Then I watched him work and saw the intense unbroken concentration, I understood why 12 hours per day was not in the cards. When talking to him about it I commented that his concentration seemed to be the same as a pilot landing an aircraft. His was response was "and I don't have autopilot."
This concentration is definitely one of my favorites. I was in the studio messing around and wanted to shoot a close up shot of my finger with some food dye. It wasn't working out the way wanted it to so I decided to back up and try that. I figured just having on of my fingers with the dye wasn't enough. I put the for coloring all over hand and had to stretch my arm so the whole hand and the arm was visible. I wanted to use the gels again for this I had one light on the right with a purple gel. I wanted to use this for my concentration because it was perfect but there was no idiom behind so I bought it into photoshop and made the hand red... "caught red handed".
Monday was the beginning of soccer camp. It was great watching these kids concentrating on soccer and learning how to kick and play. Great fun.

The thesis of my portfolio examines and nuances the relationship between “separate but equal,” symmetry, and balance. While on a recent a road trip to Hearst Castle the Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments over marriage equality. Later, as I was touring the mansion, I was struck by the Renaissance symmetry of the façade and the interior spaces. Hence, this body of work is an aesthetic response and investigation that seeks to create situations where similar entities attempt to be “equal.”

For this concentration, I focused on pollution in the oceans. I wanted to create a photo that would impact humans and show how pollution affects us personally. The photo is a "Sushi" roll made of plastic trash instead of fish. This represents that when people pollute the oceans the fish eat the plastic which is eventually eaten by humans. The purpose of this is to make a bigger impact since people don't solve problems unless it affects them personally. (For my reshoot I made the focal point sharper using a tripod and different settings)
Sample deck of a matching card game. Some people call it “concentration” others call it “mix & match”. I’m still not very good at it…

ENGLISH:
The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum (Polish: Państwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau) is a memorial and museum in Oświęcim, Poland (German: Auschwitz), which includes the German concentration camps Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. It is devoted to the memory of the murders in both camps during World War II. The museum performs several tasks, among them research into the Holocaust.
ITALIANO:

There are many similarities between the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and the Nazi camp at Buchenwald near Weimar. Both had a basement room called the Leichenkeller where corpses were stored before they were cremated. Both had a chute which was used to shove the bodies down into the basement.
The photograph shows the Leichenkeller or Corpse Cellar in the basement of the Pathology Department at Sachsenhausen.
At Sachsenhausen, there is no claim that the Corpse Celler was used for executions, although the comparable room at Buchenwald is allegedly the place where prisoners were strangled by hanging from meat hooks. General George Patton, who visited the Buchenwald camp, wrote in his memoirs that live prisoners were rolled down into the Corpse Celler where they were murdered by hanging from hooks.
