With a NOISY HUMMING truck from Con Ed. No jackhammer noise this morning but still plenty of noise. Even so, I slept a solid 7 hours.
I'm not sure what Con Ed was doing, but it was nice to see it finally happen. They dug a couple holes over a month ago and finally came around to finish the job last week. I've been a bit under the weather and sleeping lots, so I'll probably be dipping into my reserve for a couple days. This would've been #101, but I had passed by the bakery one too many times to fight the urge. :)

L’opening act di Daniele Silvestri, lunedì 2 settembre 2024 nel Cortile delle Armi del Castello Sforzesco di Milano, è affidato a Casadilego.
Elisa Coclite, in arte Casadilego, nasce a Teramo nel 2003. Una formazione musicale che inizia sin dall’infanzia, incentrata sulla musica classica e corale attraverso il pianoforte. Ha incantato giudici e pubblico della 14^ edizione di X Factor Italia, vincendo nella squadra delle Under Donne di Hell Raton. Ha collezionato una serie di esperienze artistiche che ne confermano il calibro: duetta con Ed Sheeran, porta la sua musica dal vivo in apertura ad artisti come Carmen Consoli, Daniele Silvestri, Max Gazzè, Ben Harper, Asaf Avidan.
Ha sperimentato il linguaggio cinematografico come protagonista nel film di Fabio Mollo “My Soul Summer” ed è stata scelta da Valter Malasti come co-protagonista della versione italiana di “Lazarus”, opera rock di David Bowie, al fianco di Manuel Agnelli e Michela Lucenti. Polistrumentista e interprete sopraffina, una voce e un carisma che rappresentano un unicum nell’attuale panorama musicale italiano.

Please be advised that the 2 portable generators serving the Forchheimer/Golding buildings must be taken out of service for a period of 3 hours each to perform routine maintenance. This will occur on Saturday, March 31st. The west side of Forchheimer (by Ullmann) will be shut down at 9:00 AM and restored before noon. The east side of the building will be shut down at noon and restored before 3:00 PM. The Golding extension is supplied by both east and west sides and will lose partial power with each interruption.
During these planned shutdowns the emergency generators will be running and all items on the emergency system will remain fully powered. (This refers to environmental rooms, freezers, incubators and other items connected to our emergency system).
Dry ice will be available on the Belfer Loading Dock for equipment cooling if needed.
Also, please be advised that we are tentatively scheduled to switch over to Con Ed power on the evening of Wednesday, April 4th, beginning at 6:00 P.M. We anticipate the job being complete before start of business on Thursday morning, April 5th. In this case also, emergency power will be running throughout the process. Please watch for an update on this schedule, to be issued as soon as we receive confirmation from Con Edison.
Thank you again for your patience throughout these efforts to restore normal power to the Forchheimer/Golding buildings. If you have any questions, please call Ext. 2808 or Ext. 3000, the Operations Center.
