Queen's School of Computing undergraduate and graduate students presented their work at the annual Creative Computing Showcase in the Biosciences Complex on April 1.

During the runup to the Taos Toolbox SF workshop in 2011, I built a steampunk computer table so that I could type at my nonstandard but accustomed keyboard height. The wood slab was custom made and finished by a local unfinished furniture place, and I did all the...er...plumbing.

There are 2 banks of open access PC available at Queen’s Campus Library, these provide access to a wide range of online library resources, the internet and Microsoft Office packages. Alternatively you can borrow one of the Library laptops from the service point.

extended, this setup reached a height of about 21mm for a linear range of about 12.5mm. or an improvement of ~2mm over the earlier setup (for an additon of 18mm of linkage) (n.b., setup was wobbly; numbers are sketchy)
