i was making this cloud computing write-up which turned into a presentation. made it with Google Docs -- a 'cloud computing' presentation created on a cloud office suite -- did i just blow your mind? it was a little boring even though i used a few of my own pictures...so i decided, after a cursory search turning up nothing like what i wanted, to make my own graphics!
i'm not much of an artist...but i dabble occasionally. i liked my cake logo i made for another client. and when i was in school, i'd usually like my art...but i'd have to spend like 5 hours on something before i liked it.
this turns out to be the same. although this is a pretty simple graphic, it took me probably 45 minutes to make. i made a cloud, too...but don't love it quite as much.
here's the presentation. do some learning.
Is it just me or has something happened to the 'recent comments activity' list on the homepage??
This image is a re-post in celebration of the advent of 'cloud computing' fully online on the internet...
I always wondered what the "inter-web-net-things" first words will be, to us, When the cloud goes sentient, (if it hasn't already)....We are its parents after all,

HISTORY
Pillar completed 7th May 1958 costing £9.1s.2d. Flush bracket S9786 was levelled to second class precision in 1958. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NG24/T47 within the Skye secondary block during 1959. This pillar station was last maintained by the Ordnance Survey in May 1980.
SITE VISIT
Parked in the mapped car park at NG698568. Overall approach from NNW, up via the Cuiag trig pillar, S9800. Climbed a deer fence and entered woodland at NG703563. It was rough going underfoot as the protected woodland is not grazed. The woods are mainly decidous and quite sparce. Left the woodland, climbing another deer fence at NG715540. Open beeline route past some cattle on easy ground to the summit from there. The Vanessa is in good condition. The spider centre is open. The flush bracket faces northeast, compass measurement 57°. Vented through the right (NW) sight hole. Full 360° panoramic view.
