This close-up of the patent badge on the Church of England's Millionaire shows its date of patent as 1895, which certainly makes it the oldest piece of kit we've seen so far in this competition!
John says it's been kept because: "It was in everyday use up to the late 60's and, for an organisation that still has John Milton's application for marriage, this is almost a recent acquisition!'

26 Feb 1954, Minneapolis, MInnesota, USA --- Space Pilots. Minneapolis, Minnesota: A small boy's dream of piloting a rocket ship through outer space came as nearly true as modern science could make it for plastic-helmeted Johnny Bower (left), and Neil Smith, both seven years old. The youngsters got their big break when Minneapolis-Honeywell's Aeronautical company invited them, among other young sons of technical employees to visit the plant and see what their dads were doing. "Pilots" Bower and Smith are manipulating special computing equipment developed to duplicate characteristics of supersonic craft and the flight conditions they might be expected to encounter. --- Image by © Bettmann/CORBIS

This is my oldest IBM Model M keyboard, made in 1986. It is about two years older than my twenty-six year old brother, who is holding it in this picture. It still works just fine, though one has to swap the AT-style cable with an ATX one to connect it to anything these days. Fortunately, that's easy on these because things were actually designed to have replaceable parts back then.
(I'm taking some pictures of my stuff as I start on the process of packing up to move.)
