I took this photo of my new Asus P8Z68 Motherboard. I love that all the components are shades of blue. It gives the board a very nice look.
I wish I would have taken my time and took some more shots of this board, but I was too excited to put my new PC all together.
Currently, I'm using this shot as my wallpaper. It's kind of neat to have a visual reminder of what's making all this computer work possible.
John Ferguson, Head of IT & Office Services at The Archbishops' Council of the Church of England (the church's organisational headquarters), sent in this photograph of a very venerable old machine...
John says: ' The 'Millionaire' is generally acknowledged as the first commercially-successful calculating machine that could perform multiplication directly rather than by repeated adddition. This is a genuine artihmetic machine, still in working order, dating from 1895.'
He goes on to say: 'This is the mainstay of our Doomsday site in the event of a compete universal long-term power failure combined with a battery shortage in London!' (He's joking... I hope...)
Es el punto de inicio para el diseño de interacción. Ayudan a tener y mantener una visión global de un problema, ayuda al diseñador a pensar sobre como se entenderá el sistema por los usuarios.

Here is a cool dual screen computer set up and what's interesting is that
you can have multiple windows up at the same time and multitask to your
heart's delight. But this photo is not about the actual screens themselves,
it's really about the information you have access to within the system. The
screens are just a tool to get to the really cool learning stuff. That's
why I think language fits this photo. Because with the technology today you
can easily listen, watch, or create many different sources of entertainment
in different languages. Notice from left to right: anime that can be
listened to in Japanese, Songs translated into Korean and analyzed
by Canadians, and a Rainbow Dash subtitled into 30 different languages. How
awesome is that? Language is now less of a barrier than before and
technology is the key to facilitate it. MLP FIM Rules!

So, I've finally decided to get around to joining in the Project 365 fun! This is the first image in my first year, and as such, features the trusty Logitech Trackman Wheel which is currently tethered to my office Mac Pro. I reckon it'll be seeing a fair bit of action over the coming 12 months, while hopefully reducing wear and tear on my right wrist! Oh and by the way, happy new year :)
Here's Jim's full retro set-up busy at its day-to-day work alongside its younger relatives. For the sharp-sighted among you, Jim also points out the picture includes 'two old modems (Minor Miracles WS2000 and Pace Nightingale) - both still fully operational.'
As to his (very honest) reasons for keeping all this old kit, Jim says: 'I like to see old kit that's still useful being put to use. And I'm sad.'
