Before I knew it, things started going very badly. BlackFlame would refuse to even Post (the first 'beep' you hear when you turn on a computer). The fans would start- then die seconds later. And sometimes they wouldn't start at all! I immediately started thinking either the power supply was causing the problem, or else it was my motherboard.
