It seems the light bulbs wars are not over! Our heroic warriors have taken the battle to a bold new encounter; playing chess in the dark! Modeled in 3DS Max and rendered with VRAY.

A Terragen2 render.

You may have noticed a couple of interestingly shaped mountains in the background of the "Guinevere's Seat" render I recently posted. So I jumped into my terrahopper and took a wee nosey over to them, and I'm glad I did.

I made the folly using XenoDream

Another still image from a new version of my Gray-Scott reaction-diffusion simulation program. See the ~7 minute video here: youtu.be/uuL0jbYBs2M

Computer generated image using Apophysis.

I couldn't resist posting this as it is sort of a variation on a theme relating to recent posts on my photostream.

It really does look like the vine "old man's beard" during it's silky phase.

This needs to be seen in large size.

Thank you!

This 3D model was created in Autodesk Maya 2009 and rendered with Mental Ray. This model is based on the Venom Minimate toy.

A quick edit that I have produced using a real photo of the NNRG's preserved Leyland National 2: 4710 - FTN710W and a computer generated edit of their 4861 - UPT681V. 4710 is in NBC Northern red, with 4681 in a post-deregulation Northern red/white livery.

4681 is currently under restoration in the ownership of the NNRG.

A cumputer generated image. Depicting a 1942 style boyhood using a tablet and stylus to produce this cartoon. I've left the right hand team for your imagination It took me many hours to create. Please take a minute to make your comment.

In the moment I have a client who is undergoing a chemo-cancer-treatmend. Instead of waering a wig she want that I henna her bald head. This was my first proposition, but she wanted a design with big flowers. She loves in particular hibiskus and so i created for her another design in which the hibiskus is prominent.

This henna-mehndi design belongs to a serie, I created out of khidab paintings i saw in Yemen 2006.

I drew them with Freehand MX or Illustrator on a Mac

You can buy/download each pattern as a single PDF copy at www.henna-und-mehr.de/de/bestell5.html (German) or www.henna-und-mehr.de/franz/bestell5.html (French)

When I have designed 20 patterns of them I will sell them all together as a book.

Experimenting with some buttons. About 10mm. Now in my Etsy shop. Let's see what reaction I get. .

So I haven't been messing around with Java and fractal stuff for a while, but I'd thought I'd try my hand at a Mandelbulb - a 3D fractal object. This is using the standard Mandelbulb algorithm, zoomed in somewhat.
