Right now, mostly the parts of the image that have strong similarities horizontally pixel-to-pixel come out best. The white areas in this photo are where the most change is. Working on adjustments to settings to fix this up.

This image was created by taking the brightness of each pixel in the original image, comparing it to a threshold value, and then making each pixel black or white depending on whether the brightness was greater than or less than the threshold value.
Division Safety Officer Meghan Harding watches as a liquid nitrogen dewar is delivered at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, Va., on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023. (Aileen Devlin | Jefferson Lab)
Several years in the making, the liquid nitrogen dewar for the End Station Refrigeration 2 (ESR 2) arrived on the lab campus. The ESR 2 system will feed cryogens to Halls A, B, and C, and it will replace ESR 1 by adding additional capacity to support the MOLLER Experiment.

Keynote presentation by Professor Hannah Fry at CUPUM 2025 – The 19th International Conference on Computational Urban Planning & Urban Management, hosted by The Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) from 23 – 27 June 2025 in London.
The identification of high quality lead compounds is the crucial first step in the small molecule drug discovery process. Leads can be identified through a variety of methods, including high throughput screening (HTS), Computational chemistry approaches including virtual screening (VS) and literature sources.
