The little bit of pink in the sky quickly disappeared and the sun broke out with a vengeance. The world around me shone golden and blue-fresh... Some catch fish - the other beautiful moods.

I need to start stretching the film more in the 6x17 cassette before shooting. Shadows are probably formed on the right and left in this way.

Just to make sure: This isn't SOOC, it's just a reference to the idea that the colors could be painted on!

For a long time I had planned to do this panorama of Lucerne. A short train takes you from the city up to the "Schlosshotel Gütsch". From here you have a wonderful view of Lucerne with the Chapel Bridge, Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains... While I was fumbling with my camera, a young woman spoke to me and asked how old this camera was. I replied how old she would guess. To which she replied, "Maybe about 100 years". She was amazed when I told her the camera was only 2 years old!

My attempt at the "Flickr Friday" theme "Nostalgia".

I‘m not the kind of person feeling nostalgic often. To me nostalgia seems to be caused in part by our tendency to forget the unpleasant or even just plain and neutral feeling parts of situations, and only remembering the positive ones. I don‘t seem to have that ability, so situations and experiences 'feel' the same way 10, 20 or even 30 years later. That means, I don‘t really feel nostalgic for any big, important situation or even a whole span of time (like a vacation, part of our childhood etc.), because those are too nuanced.

The situations I have some nostalgic feelings for are therefore usually incredibly tiny and insignificant ones. I remember when I was around 7 years old and we were learning to write the alphabet, I wrote a lowercase letter 's' over and over to practice. Then suddenly I managed to write what appeared to be the most perfect letter 's' I could ever imagine. I felt very proud, probably even stood up to show my teacher, and afterwards tried to repeat creating that wonderful shape, again and again (without any luck)… I probably still do, to this day!

Self-made film holder still lets in light.

But the effect of it makes the picture almost picturesque.

Paper negative, overexposed and underdeveloped. The uneven development makes a really nice effect. Linhof Color 4x5, Computar Symmetrigon 150mm f6.3.

I originally said it was a Direct positive, but I was mislead by a wrong prefix in the name of the file from 2018. (Silverfast repeats the prefix from previous session unless you change it)

The picture was finished long time ago and when I put it out here, I was misled by the prefix.

I am sorry about it, but now I have corrected it. I found the result a bit difficult to explain and had to check the original. But at that time I treated both paper negatives and positives the same way, with highly diluted paper developer.

This beautiful bridge has not seen any train for decades, but it was well worth a visit.
