Elements of composition: color, leading lines (piping), symmetry, balance (vertical objects dominate the left while circular objects dominate the right)

Directing the viewer: My eyes begin on the large orange pipe in the foreground. This pipe is followed until I reach the pink compressor head. Symmetry then takes me to the dark green compressor head, where I then begin to follow the pink pipe. My eyes then get "stuck," impeded by the blue pipe. My eyes are then trapped in the center of the image, occupied by the complexity of colored piping in the background and also held in this space by the large overarching orange pipe.

Crop?: If I cropped the image I would maintain the full image height but move the left edge just left of the large orange pipe and the right edge just right of the yellow piping behind the dark green compressor head. This maintains the color and balance elements listed above but I would lose symmetry and most of the leading lines. This narrower view would detracts a bit from the perception of functioning machinery because it cuts out definitive view the compressor wheels.
