Composting Toilets - Small children should be accompanied by an adult | Banhiero de compostagem - Crianca pequena deve estar acompanhada de um adulto - Vancouver (Feb-2012)
Doing well, a little soggy, but I mixed in a bunch of dried camellia leaves and flowers which should help.
Old pallets were used to create about 8 compost bins which were soon filled with weeds from the plots.

I have a confession to make:
I often catch myself admiring the beauty of a bowl of compost on its way out to the bin. In late March, I found myself with lots of fresh flowers heading out to compost, and I couldn't help but photograph them along the way. Forgive me.
I mashed about in the back yard & woods, then decided to turn the big compost pile. Added stuff from to small bins. Inner core steaming! Wow!
I didn't turn my compost at all last winter and it froze. I'm gonna keep turning this winter to have garden compost early spring :)
Really something to see what looks like a pile of snow, is actually food & leaf waste breaking down to essential elements, high nutrient dirt.

Description: To prevent wet waste like kitchen waste and leftover food from being dumped into landfills where it releases harmful greenhouse gases, the Indian government in 2016 mandated segregation of waste. Under the Solid Waste Management Rules the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change also stressed the importance of composting of wet waste by residential colonies and businesses.
Many residential colonies in cities of India have since then started colony-wide composting of wet waste, creating compost for their gardens. This move not only prevents wet waste from entering landfills but also leads to creation of compost — full of healthy nutrients for plants.
In the video, a member of SWaCH — a cooperative of self-employed waste collectors in Pune can be seen mixing wet waste of an RWA with soil to create compost in the composting unit within the residential colony.

A gift from my compost heap. It's not composting very well, but it's a great nursery for volunteers.
We scavenged the wooden frame from a neighbor's trash, and stapled hardware cloth to it to make a seive.
