Paul and I went down to Santa Monica this early evening and walked along the beach and soaked in the 90 degree weather. We did sneak into a hotel lobby to watch a bit of the compassion forum on CNN... it was a time for Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton to answer questions on Faith and Politics -- and it was LIVE from Messiah College! It was sooo much fun to see colleagues and students I know on CNN way across the country!

I worked as an orientation leader for new international students arriving to ISU. It was a great experience because I meet great people like Brook Perillo and Rachel Gan, but most importantly because I was able to help new international students in their first days in their new home. I help them with the paperwork that international students have to fill when they arrive, organized couple of icebreakers, and gave them advises that I would have liked to have when I first arrived. I can relate this experience with compassion because my motivation for helping was my own reflection in this kids. I wanted to help this new students coming to a new country because I knew this first days are not easy for anyone, especially if you are coming from a different culture.
