With the B2130 through Hascombe closed for 4 weeks for water main works in August/September 2019, and no feasible alternative route, Compass bus service 42 was divided in two (Guildford - Busbridge and Hascombe (White Horse) - Cranleigh. A free minibus shuttle was provided between Hascombe and Godalming, providing 9 return journeys a day (M-F), more than the normal service. On 29th August, the service was provided by Compass Bus Transit VA61BFN; the label reads 'Hascombe to Godalming shuttle bus'.

Home of my favorite bar in Surrey, Amberjacks. It's a noisy trailer trash bar of no merit, but it's comfortable, somehow. You can order from the main restaurant menu if you ask nicely, so the food is better than at most bars.
EDIT: I'm so glad I took this shot, as a few months later, the Compass Point and Amberjacks are being torn down to make way for some hideous new building near King George Station.
Ancient brass compass for sailing on sale at the Nieumarkt antiques market in Amsterdam.
I do not know if it was old, new or a replica but the price leads me to believe replicas.
Either way it was a sight to behold.
