In a miraculously successful through-the-traffic shot on Guildford's one way system, Compass Bus GX13 FSN heads for its bus station terminus on the 42.
Although they've been on the service many times before, this is the first time I've seen one of the 13-reg 'face-lifted' Enviros on the route.
UPDATE: Turns out that, while newer face Enviros have been on the service before, this didn't include the short 13-reg ones, and that this day was actually the first time one of them had made the 42. Thanks to Andy Crawley for this.

I made this photo of my wife handling my favourite camera in order to brief my collegues on irrational ideas and technical designs, but then I thought I could upload it on Flickr

6x6 was the main culprit for the field of view issues I had. Here's one that still kind of worked.
Compass was visiting Comarca de la Sidra (Cider!!) with us on Sunday.. in fact it was a SUN day. The landscape was as beautiful as Compass was! We had a great day wandering around!

Originally with Huntingdon & District, it is looking pretty smashed up awaiting repair.

The foundation stone for Carrington Centennial Hospital for Convalescents was laid by Lord Carrington at Grasmere, near Camden.
Understanding that men who were patients in the hospital were also Freemasons it was decided to built a cottage hospital which would be used for Lodge meetings for those men.
Being the Grand Master of the Grand United Lodge of New South Wales Lord Carrington with due Masonic formality laid the first stone of the Masonic Convalescent Hospital close to the main building.

Over a number of years Gordon Robson built up his commercial service 368 which operated (ultimately) from Stockton to the Transporter via Hartburn, North Tees Hospital and Billingham. He seemingly spotted the hard times that were ahead for small bus operators early and got out whilst still in the position of providing a quality service (something other operators have failed to do!). Stagecoach took on the routes, the 368 becoming the council-supported 588/9 in the process. Later, on re-tender, these passed (surprisingly) to Procters of Bedale, who outstationed a couple of Darts at Compass Royston's Stockton premises. Operating the service remotely was not without its issues and Compass Royston themselves became heir to the services and vehicles (and would later sell out to Procter). Here, under CR ownership, Dennis Dart / Wright K127LGO emerges from Wolviston, through which the service had been diverted after Stagecoach pulled their commercial service to the village.
