I found a nice place with lots of small birds.
but they suddenly disappeared.i didn't understand why.
later I looked up and saw that I had an unexpected companion.
like me he was also interested in small birds....but maybe...

Sea Anemones and Crabs were my Companions on a Delightful visit to the Tide Pools at Corona Del Mar, California.
As excited children scurried from one pool to another shrieking at the sight of colorful sea life, this old guy was practically on hands and knees scrambling back to safety from the advancing tide. Do it while you can... Life is Good : )

You know how T.S. Elliot said the world will end not with a bang, but with a whimper, in The Hollow Men? I disagree. I think it’s a bang and a mushroom cloud, but let’s not dwell on that too much. I suppose the life forms that remain – whatever they might be like – would always be surprised and fascinated when they encounter each other. Or so I’d rather believe. Is that a flying electro-fish skeleton? Why yes, and it’s just as curious as the automaton it’s come across, in a rather elegant underground sewer somewhere where the water is not fluorescent but the fish might just be.
I think this is about 30 seconds before he booped the fish and got an unpleasant surprise, by the way. Metallic parts and a zap-happy creature tend to not get along, or is it that they get along too well? Depends on how you look at it. At best, there’s gonna be a lot of profanity echoing there. At worst, there’s gonna be a steep drop from letting go of the ladder, and even more profanity at being bent out of shape. Literally.

I love this pic because this dog, to me, illustrated hope. After a previous life of despicable abuse, why would he not be very unsure of me when we first met? Yet within a few minutes of my respect for him, and a few soft words to him; his tail started to wag, his ears relaxed, he popped his head out, and he looked up almost adoringly at me. I could feel his trust and warmth.
Whilst this experience nicely stroked my ‘good with dogs’ ego, and touched my heart, this was much more certainly down to the love, care and understanding of his new owner and companion.
Bravo sir with the red beard, you are good good man.
