This is the Texas Pie Company in Kyle, Texas. And, this is where I picked up my cherry pie. Of course they had more than cherry pie. They even had real food. I didn't try any of that..:) I mean, who goes to a pie company to order something else..:)
Wednesday is going to be the first day of summer and the longest day of the year. I plan on staying inside all day..:) I take that back, I have to go to the grocery store

My evil pumpkin sits on our mantle chomping on a leaf. Don't get too near - he just might bite you.
- Western Purple Swamphen / Purpurhuhn (Porphyrio porphyrio)
- Little Egret / Seidenreiher (Egretta garzetta)
Whilst I've spent time searching their habitat previously, this is my first shot of a Purple Swamphen. When you're mostly used to observing Coots, Moorhens and other small rails, both the (chicken-like) size and vibrant plumage of the Swamphen makes for a thrilling surprise.
This example was wading and foraging alongside a Little Egret. The light was a little harsh, but the photographer is smiling nonetheless!
Lake State Z127 is coming up into their Flint Terminal past the sign the company put up replacing a beat up old CSX billboard. This shot only works during the long days of the year since it's looking due south and this frame caught a gap between the rear engine and first car for more sun on the sign. I'd barely gotten there in time but nailing this to start already made the day. Flint, MI 5/30/2020

Decided to hop in secondlife and do a picture with our princess. Been a long time we got to hang with her an take a photo.
I'm so lucky to have this place just minutes from my home. This beautiful scene is the first thing you see, and the loud roar of the water flowing over the Dam fills your ears. Then you can hit the trail, 6 miles across and back.
