I asked for a compact car at the rental place, and this is what they gave me. Not compact by any stretch of the imagination.
Why, oh why, do these people insist on compacting the earth ? There would have been enough room for humus around the tree. You see, even cities have their "urban flora and fauna". But they need nutrients too and there is less and less biological substrate for these urban species. / In German they call this Bodenverdichtung. / Biologists have been sending alarming messages about species extinctions and those in danger. We have enough problems with the Global Climate Change, why make it unecessarily worse ? This photo illustrates a simple measure (which was not taken). Someone probably planned this and decided that this was more "efficient" !!!! Some people know how to calculate simple things, but disregard complexities of nature !
Revlon vintagte compact a friend gave me, I love it and after reading a wonderful article from Christen Olivarez in the new Somereset Life.....I decided to make my own "tiny treasure" hence the next picture!

Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs, tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.
Anyway, enjoy and please let me know what you think.

The Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA), at the Paul Wild Observatory, is an array of six 22-m antennas used for radio astronomy. It is located about 25 km west of the town of Narrabri in rural NSW (about 500 km north-west of Sydney). It is operated by CSIRO's Astronomy and Space Science division, as are the Parkes Observatory and the Mopra Observatory near Coonabarabran. A fourth radio telescope, the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder, is also being developed by CSIRO at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory in the Mid-West of Western Australia. Collectively, CSIRO's radio astronomy observatories are known as the Australia Telescope National Facility, with the facility supporting Australia's research in radio astronomy.
