This is a half-second exposure at ISO800 of a lit compact fluorescent bulb taken with a homemade pinhole "lens" on a Nikon D80. The estimated focal length is 50mm and the aperture diameter is about 0.10mm, resulting in a f/500! Super slow!

Docots of Glasgow. A journey along the Cycleway from Partick to Clydebank revealed a bit if Clydeside history. These are the dove & pigeon houses that people used to keep their pets.
Never seen this style before, but they looked great. I wouldn't be surprised if some were listed to preserve them for the future.

The Compact Shelves comprise the Northern half of the first floor of the Valley Library. They are hard to miss. You can access the pre-1990 journals stored in the shelves anytime during library hours, just like regular books.

The Sandugo was a blood compact, performed in the island of Bohol in the Philippines, between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition. This is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos. "Sandugo" is a Visayan word which means "one blood".[1]
The Sandugo is depicted in both the provincial flag and the official seal of the government in Bohol.[2] It also features the image of the blood compact. The top of the seal explains the history behind the Sandugo event that occurred in Bohol, the fleet and the location where the Spaniards anchored and the place where the treaty was conducted which was dated on March 16, 1565.

Berlin a accueilli ce vendredi l’initiative Compact with Africa. Une conférence destinée à soutenir l’investissement privé allemand sur le continent. Le Président Macky SALL a pris part aux travaux de cette conférence qui est une belle opportunité pour le Sénégal et le continent de créer des plateformes devant réunir les investisseurs privés allemands et africains autour des projets intégrateurs. Le Chef de l’Etat a mis l’accent sur l’allocation des DTS, la solidarité autour du vaccin, la facilitation de l’investissement en Afrique par des mécanismes appropriés de soutien, l’appui à la relance des economies africaine, la nécessité d’un New Deal avec l’Afrique qui exige un changement radical de mentalité dans la perception des relations avec l’Afrique.
