44 years after the expedition of ferdinand magellan a larger expedition , comprised of 500 men, and to be lead by Miguel lopez de legazpi, was organized by spain. the expedition arrived in the southern philippines by february, 1565. within a month legazpi had a blood compact with a local chief sikatuna. this event is memorialized with this statue in the island of bohol, philippines
The Leica mini (early 1990s) has a fixed 35mm f3.5 lens. The Nikon One Touch Zoom 90 has a slower 38-90mm and is from the very end of the mass market film camera era in the early 2000s
I'm guessing they service small cars only. On Gerrard street east of Main. The exterior is coloured about the same as well chewed grape gum; and in fact it looks like it might be made from the stuff.
Everything is this compact town is so perfect – the Market Square, the Cathedral, the numerous parks all look as if they were crafted by artists of note, which they were!
The city is very well preserved and clean to boot. It is almost like a stage set, nay, make that a movie set, perhaps a Disney flick?
Every window has lace curtains and flower boxes with geraniums, all the buildings are in good repair, and the architecture is infinitely interesting. Low-country designs of the Middle Ages were a matter of pride; every detail down to the outline of a window frame is beautifully proportioned.
In the heart of the downtown, motor vehicles are prohibited, except for deliveries during restricted hours, making it one of the easiest walking cities of the world, safe and well-signed. The winding cobbled streets, adjacent to the canals, are shared by pedestrians and the occasional horse-drawn carriage. Sweepers follow the horses and keep the streets litter free.
Restaurants serve authentic Belgian cooking, a strong rival to French cuisine, as well as numerous international style dishes. Fresh fish, cooked a thousand different ways, is plentiful, as are beautiful homegrown vegetables. Of course, this country is famous for its chocolate, a worthy choice for dessert. My own personal favorite Belgian meal is carpes frites plus pommes frites, which would be called ‘fish and chips’ anywhere else, but is in fact a perfect delicacy here in Bruges.

The Chevrolet Corvair is a compact automobile manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet for model years 1960–1969 over two generations. As the only American-designed, mass-produced passenger car to use a rear-mounted air-cooled engine, the Corvair model range included a two-door coupe, convertible, four-door sedan, and four-door station wagon body styles, as well as passenger van, commercial van, and pickup truck variants. The Corvair competed with imported cars such as the original Volkswagen Beetle as well as the Ford Falcon, Plymouth Valiant, Studebaker Lark and the Rambler American. The Corvair's legacy was affected by controversy surrounding its handling, scrutinized in Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed, as well as a 1972 Texas A&M University safety commission report for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which found that the 1960–1963 Corvair possessed no greater potential for loss of control in extreme situations than its contemporaries. The name "Corvair" is a portmanteau of Corvette and Bel Air. The name was first applied in 1954 to a Corvette-based concept with a hardtop fastback-styled roof. My kids have remote control helicopters that look kind of like this, with much shorter, wider rotor blades than a typical full-size helicopter. It allows for a smaller overall size for the aircraft, which makes it easier to maneuver and land. I don't know if it's a practical design for a full-size chopper, but I wanted to make one in Lego anyway.
Also on display is a bunch of stuff I picked up at Brickfair. I think the minifig cat miniguns I got from MBW work great with Chris' drones because of their larger size relative to minifigs. I also love the eclipseGrafx torsos and Brickarms pulse rifles I got from contributing to the Cyberpocalypse collaboration. Thanks Vic and Will!
