A neighborhood of he city of Barcelona as seen from afar. Part of the compactness is due to the long lens (300mm) that compressed the view.
Compacting the joints is very important in order to give the pointing strength and longevity.

Iseli Nursery: One of the finest of the TRUdwarf® Mugos, Pinus mugo 'Sherwood Compact' displays short, stiff branches that are heavily clothed with slightly twisted needles. Discovered in the 1950's by plantsman Andy Sherwood, the compact, dense mound produces rich green foliage with golden tips in winter and white fascicles that give plants a radiant look that is full of character.
Mugo pines are noted for unpredictable growth rate. Planted 2009. 11x10in. at ~6 years. Very slow grower. Looks good in 2016. After 8 years, I confirm that it is a slow grower. Not much more than 1 foot in 2018. 17x17 inches in 2019.

Another awsome Sport Compact event at WSID.Loads of cars made the trek from all over Aus to compete.Almost capacity entries on the track & a great selection of hot cars on show.
The presentation standard of Sport Compact drag cars has really amazed me so far this year, with a lot of the top runner track cars looking like prestine show cars with candy pearl paint jobs,tastefull air brushing and graffix and tuff drag spec rims all round. these guys have definatly stepped it up a notch!
Took a whole lot of photo's throughout the day, but unfortunatly forgot my memory backup so was limited to 4G worth of space...Ahhhrr.

Pilot Crushtec supplies a cost effective, heavy duty, durable compacting solution. The Tecon Crushpactor or gridroller is a tow-behind, rugged machine that simultaneously and rapidly crushes and compacts a wide variety of borrow-pit rock, aggregate and sand. It is ideal for compacting sub-base and base course layers in road construction, rock surfacing of dirt roads, preparation of layers of asphalt roads, and compacting earth fills.
The Compact Musical Fountain has all the hardware – pump, valves, effects, lights, mounted on a frame and connected through an umbilical cable to the control cabinet containing the controls and electricals. The approx. overall dimensions are 1.8m x 1.8m and it is practical to lower the fountain into any suitable pool with a depth range of 575 to 725mm. Temporary pools made with a plastic or similar lining can be used making the Compact Musical Fountain suitable for events, site shows, weddings, product launches – anywhere a novel entertainment is needed, and don’t forget since this model uses auto-sensing it can play any music appropriate to the event. The cable length from fountain to control cabinet is 10m as standard, longer lengths can be provided.
The first three weeks of sporadic use of the premium compact Fujifilm X100VI. In the meantime, here are some photos of architecture (and cats). In the next few days, I'll also post a few portraits.
First impressions are very positive. The colors are excellent, as I expected, but above all, the experience, thanks to the rangefinder viewfinder, is reminiscent of using film cameras, offering a healthy 'detox' from mirrorless systems.
The first drawbacks? The menu is complicated, but I've always used Sony or Pentax, and the autofocus is somewhat inaccurate and hesitant. However, this is likely a user error on my part, as I’ve been happily using vintage manual focus lenses for years.

This Mitsubishi Lancer sedan is (barely) living proof in 2023 that once upon a time, MItsubishi sold actual cars other than the el cheapo Mirage, and that not every other Mitsubishi was an SUV. The Lancer, which was a popular choice for tuners to make their own sport compacts, features a two-liter four-cylinder engine producing 120 horses.

The "Mayflower Compact" was signed on 11 November 1620 onboard the Mayflower shortly after she came to anchor off Provincetown Harbor. The Pilgrims had obtained permission from English authorities to settle in Virginia, whose northern border at the time extended up to what is now known as New York.
The point being, what is now known as The United States of America, was founded on Jesus Christ, and for the furtherance of the Christian Faith. This but one of the hundreds of documents supporting that fact.
So it is the Gospel message we are too be about, letting all know that Jesus died to take away the sins of the whole WORLD, your sins specifically and mine. Was buried and raised to life again on the third day, says the scriptures. So that he could impart that same resurrected LIFE in us. Spiritual Life Everlasting.
Why do we need Life you ask? Because we were all born in Adam, Spiritually dead and in need of the Life that departed from him. On the day he determined he could decide right from wrong on his own, without God.
Jesus the Son of God, did this so he could restore us to Life in him. It's called Salvation. Life is Salvation, death is separation from God. But we can be united with God once again, if we but come to faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name give to men whereby we must be saved.
And this is a free gift from God. It's not by works of any kind, nothing man can accomplish in the energy of his flesh can add to what God in the person of Christ Jesus as already done. This is all about Jesus, not you or I. It is a gift we receive by grace, through faith in Jesus. This isn't about what we are doing for God, it's all about what God HAS done for us. Is that good news or what?
If you have come to faith in Jesus, you HAVE received not only forgiveness of sins, but Life eternal, indestructible. We did nothing to earn it, and once we've have it, we can't do nothing to lose it. Which is why it's called everlasting Life. Now rest in Christ' finish work, and be who you are. A child of the Living God. Who will Never leave you, Never forsake you. Period! GOOD NEWS...

This is the Only Nation on Earth that was ever founded on Jesus Christ. Which is why were where so blessed. As the scripture say's, "blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord". And the very opposite of that is true as well. Cursed is every Nation whose God is not the Lord. Our country is in the process of falling apart, because we as a people are turning our backs on the very God, we built this Nation on. If we don't want to go the way of the Roman Empire, may I suggest a reversal of the direction we are going, a return to faith in God and worshipping him Only, and not ourselves.
Jesus is the answer to All of mans problems. Not only for America, but for every Country and Nation on Earth. Chose you this day, whom you shall serve..

You know those days where all you want to do is just be far, far away from the world because you feel like no one can just understand?
It sounds a little angsty, but bah! Just need to get away. Little things annoy me easily and people just get on my nerves.
Humanity can be a little confusing sometimes. You try to put some faith in it, but you eventually get disappointed.
Trying to stay positive, but it's difficult when so many things are just pushing you down.
I'm so discouraged with life :\

Going to be a busy week. So many papers.
Lovely silver tone vintage powder and rouge compact with a bar link chain dating from the 1920's. The compact has an etched and painted Art Deco design with the initials "SCL" engraved. The hinged lid opens to show a loose powder section with a rotating lid, a rouge section and a miniature lipstick tube. There may have been a mirror but it has since been lost to time.
This dainty compact would be a thoughtful gift for someone who collects compacts or enjoys Art Deco design.
