The bag in the hopper waiting to be compactor. I tried to grab it (yes the compactor is off, doesn’t work when the door is open). But I could not get it it was jammed in there, I figure I know when it is so could get the bag out after the cycle. I was fucking wrong.

The actual "pro" digital compact from Olympus is a talented performer. Although his ISO performance is a bit lower when compared to class leaders like the Canon G series or Fujifilm X cameras, most of the parameters are first class - including the optically great and fast lens, fast continuous shooting, very nice jpeg engine, high quality build, fast operation, practical tiltable touchscreen and fast autofocus. It´s weaknesses are the lower maximal usable ISO (more than 800 can be a problem when you want a good picture - but the fast lens compensates this when it comes to shutter speeds in low light situations) and the small buffer (for not more than four RAW shots). But the wide functionality and agressive pricing are making this camera an interesting offer, actually selling for $280.

The BMW Compact was a small family car which was basically a truncated hatchback version of the BMW E36 platform.
The car was available in 316i, 316g (compressed natural gas), 318ti and 318tds (diesel). The title Ti(Touring International) is unique to the Compact range and is used on the more powerful versions, harking back to the BMW New Class Tii models of the sixties and seventies.
From front bumper to A pillar, the Compact is identical to the BMW 3 Series (E36) sedan, sharing the front fenders, bumpers, lights, windshield, wing mirrors, and the hood. As with the entire E36 range, the E36/5 also shares an idential wheelbase. Similarities with the E36 sedan/coupe range end here; from the A pillar rearwards, the E36/5 is unique from others in the E36 range featuring unique framed doors, windows, roof, trunk pan, taillights, and suspension.
The BMW E36/5 Compact shares its suspension with the BMW Z3 and M Coupe/Roadster. The front employed the E36's standard MacPherson strut design. However the and rear suspension used a semi trailing arm from the previous model BMW 3 Series (E30) which allowed for more a lower trunk floor height, fold down rear seats, and an exterior undermounted compact spare tire.
The inherent design of the trailing arm suspension was that it favoured oversteer. It is the rarest and most sought after of the E36 318 lineup by enthusiasts, being the lightest, fastest, best handling and least expensive.
Apart from a simple one piece dashboard, the E36 Compact shared the same seats and trim as the full-sized 3-series. During 1993/4, BMW built several prototype 5-door compacts, which looked outwardly even more similar to the saloon right back to the C-pillar. However, following the initially disappointing sales response to the Compact (in comparison to the Saloon & Coupe models) BMW decided not to offer a 5-door variant. The prototypes were stripped and the bodyshells disposed of.
The E36 Compact was very popular in its home market in Europe, which prompted BMW to market the car to North America for the 1995 model year. The E36 Compact's front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout was unique for the segment, giving it no direct competitors in North America.
Little abstract self portrait for todays 365. I was getting a bit annoyed with a skipping CD that I was playing tonight. Cleaned it a few times and while looking to see if I could see any scratches or marks I thought I would shoot the reflection of my eyes in the disc.
I held the little Lume Cube in my left hand pointed toward the disc and the mobile(s6) in my other pointed at the disc resting on the table. Got lucky with the reflection as it took 3 shots to capture.
Edited on mobile. Cropped, glow and structure added, then perspective warp and retro texture added in Snapseed app.

Sperryville is in Rappahannock, County, Virginia. Small, but compact, this vernacular house has a large shingled front gable with a decorated vergeboard in the gable (along with an interesting vent). There is some nice woodwork on the small porch posts.

Founded in the UK in 2002 and co-owned by Anthony Revell and Dave Wootten, Stolen Bikes has become a force in the BMX market over the past few years. Widely recognized as a leader in high-quality, high-value complete bikes Stolen has also developed a strong following because they are among the best at making all their bikes look sexy, not just the expensive ones. From base models like the Riot and Pinch all the way up to the top of the line Cheater, every Stolen model has the most up-to-date colors so riders with any budget can find a bike with the look they’re after.
Stolen Bikes isn’t focused only on completes though. Dave and Anthony have also pulled together a really complete line of components, all with high quality and really moderate prices. Looking to build up a new frame? Stolen pioneered the area of build kits that provide all the parts you need, color coordinated for a good price in a single box. Need a new set of wheels? Stolen has a couple of solid options in the Roulette and the Revolver. Another highlight is Stolen’s development and use of Thermalite, which is a nylon-based material that is more durable than some of the other plastics in the BMX market right now, making it possible to use not only in pedals but also things like axle pegs and even seatposts. Of course, just like with their complete bikes the color choices are spot-on.
Stolen Bikes is pretty low key when it comes to marketing, which means you may not hear as much about them as some other brands who dedicate more time and resources to keeping their name in circulation. The good news is that extra time is spent looking and listening to the market, and those extra resources are poured into making the best product at the best price. Take a look at their line and we think you’ll agree that their priorities are in the right place.
When STOLEN was founded in 2002 we had no idea we would be one of the Industry’s leading brands these few years later. Our initial focus was on the US & UK, but we rapidly grew to have worldwide distribution in more than forty countries. We realize today there are many brands to choose from. More than twenty five BMX companies are offering complete bikes today, that weren’t producing bikes when we started. Despite all this competition Stolen has continued to grow. We are a product-oriented company, not marketing magicians or used car salesmen filling you full of lies and B.S. We proudly make our bikes and parts in Taiwan, not mainland China. There is one reason $7,000.00 high-end road bikes are made in Taiwan and $100.00 WallyWorld bikes are made in China…
QUALITY OVER COST!
We have ridden bikes and worked in this industry for most of our lives. We hope it shows in everything we produce.
Thank you for your continued support,

These newly built dwellings at Thetford make a refreshing change from the usual mean little "traditional" modern houses, with their sub-Georgian embellishments, cubicle-like rooms and allocated parking. I know a chap who lives a few yards from here. He told me they were going for an "affordable" £120,000. Hmmm. Wouldn't mind one myself. The signboards say that one is sold and one remains for sale. Yet the website says that the agents are property management consultants acting on behalf of landlords. Can't quite work that one out.
My only complaint would be that the ground floor front is all window. This is another example ...habit dies hard... of an architect giving his "end users" what he thinks they ought to have, rather than what they actually want. We're all familiar with the dogma that interiors should be "light" and "airy" and that the inside of the house should merge with the outside. But these are abstractions. Human beings require privacy, retreat, "defensible space" and refuge from the world's scrutiny. Top-to-bottom windows might do on the garden front, but nobody wants to live in a goldfish bowl. The new owners of the three occupied houses have already had to spend a pretty penny on net curtains.
Well, ok, this is only some boring shot.
The reason was, to find out about the bokeh capabilities of my compact Canon G10 ...
Result is, not really surprising, that with small objects and macro mode (the golden birds on the fence poles are perhaps 10 cm in height) you can get a quite decent bokeh. Otherwise not.
Good bokeh / good background blur needs:
+ small object distance
+ large focal distance (drawback of the compact cams: short focal lengths :-/ )
+ wide aperture
+ long background distance
.... that's the whole trick ... :-)
Maginon CF35, cheap compact camera for 35 mm film. I have really no clue regarding the manufacturer, there is no country of production or serial number mentioned on the body. It is mainly made of plastic, but the castings are very clean, so my suspect is Premier from Taiwan.
The camera has a folding front door like the Minox 35 and the lens is really retractible. It is a 4/38 mm fixfocus lens, probably with 3 elements.
It has no exposure meter but the common symbols (cloudy, sunny and something in between). Together with the setting of the film speed (100, 200 and 400 ISO) you will get 6 f-stops in combination.
When the flash is switched on, you have to set the flash distance with the f-stop ring. So, I think the light sensor above the ring is just for underexposure warning.
Furthermore: film advance with a wheel, frame counter, tripod socket, no self-timer, 2x AA-cells for the flash.
Looks very similar to the Yashica Partner.
