La strada Regia è l'antico percorso via terra tracciato lungo la riva occidentale del Lago di Como, nacque come raccordo degli antichi sentieri, prendendo questo nome nell'anno 1187.
We stayed one night in Varenna, a picturesque town of 500 people on Lake Como in northern Italy. Almost all shops and restaurants are closed in January. At high season in summer the town is overrun by 6000 tourists a day. This is the view from the tiny harbor seen through a fisheye lens.
I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the curves and color balance, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

The lake is stocked with catachable-size rainbow trout. Each May, Festival Coquitlam hosts the Como Lake Fish Derby, a free event for children and youth 16 years and younger.
A one kilometre lakeside loop trail for a quiet walk or a fitness jog - Lakeside benches, open grass areas, picnic amenities and a playground invite relaxing, socializing and casual play.
A seasonal or permanent home for many species - As the headwater of the Como Creek Watershed, the lake environment is an ecologically sensitive habitat that supports a variety of bird and other species.

Como Lake can be seen from both California Pass and Hurricane Pass. You can see Hurricane Pass where to road on the left side ends.
I usually do these pass roads on the first full day I have in the San Juans.
This is located between Hurricane Pass and California Pass. I am shooting from California Pass. Whenever to go to the San Juans, I always go here.
The first trails I do every year are Corkscrew Gulch, Hurricane Pass, California Pass to Animas Forks Ghost Town. I have done this same loop over 20 times.
Last year I added Placer and Picayune gulches. Really enjoyed seeing them again.
ST. PETER AND PAUL - Romanesque-style Catholic Church built in the 9th to 10th century and located in Agliate - Italy (Lombardy). Inside bones of St. Biagio that in Italian tradition protects the throat. Every 3rd February it is used to eat a slice of "panettone" (tipical sweet left from Christmas) so that St. Biagio will protect your throat during the year.
