Robin Hood, in collaboration with Columbia University’s Center on Poverty and Social Policy and its Population Research Center, released its annual food insecurity report, Poverty Tracker Spotlight on Food Assistance from New York City’s Pantry System. The report defines food hardship as sometimes or often running out of food, or a person worrying that they will. Amid these challenges, 230 million pounds of emergency food were distributed across New York City’s five boroughs in 2023, according to a City Harvest analysis of data from FeedNYC. 🌊💪 What an incredible morning at the beach clean-up in Callao Salvaje, Tenerife! Thanks to the amazing turnout of passionate volunteers, we managed to collect a staggering 423.6 kg of rubbish, helping to protect our beautiful coastline and marine life. 🐠🌴 It was inspiring to see so many people come together for a common goal: to care for our planet and make a real difference. Every effort counts, and today, we proved that teamwork and community spirit can create a cleaner, brighter future. 🌍💙 Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed, thanks to @breathingwatertenerife for coming with their kayaks and thanks to our sponsors @myndhotels & @oceanbeer for making this possible! #BeachCleanUp #CanaryGreen #CallaoSalvaje #OceanConservation #ProtectOurPlanet #CommunityPower
