National Close the Gap Day, March 22nd, was celebrated by Warrnambool and surrounds with an event hosted by Southwest Healthcare’s Close the Gap Team, Gunditjmara Co-op and Kirrae Health service.

The event was held on the civic green which included a range of activities from traditional games and dance to free health checks.

The day was a great achievement for the Close the Gap day committee, with strong support from community members, local service and education representatives.

This is the first time the event has been held on this scale; with such a positive result the committee hope to continue this into the future.
