"Capturing the essence of a pivotal event held on February 7, 2024, at Room 100 Maxwell Cohen Moot Court, this photo series delves into the pressing issues surrounding the realization of human rights for People of African Descent in the Americas. Featuring insights from distinguished speakers including Gaynel Curry of the UN Permanent Forum of People of African Descent, Professor Adelle Blackett of McGill Faculty of Law, and Tamara Thermitus, the discussion spanned the challenges and opportunities faced by Black communities in the context of Canada's historical and contemporary relations. The pre-meeting with Stéphanie Germain, Arianne Justafort and Ricardo Lamour set the stage for a deep dive into Canada's origin story and its impact on its Black Quebec residents. Join us through these visuals in exploring the complex narratives of justice, identity, and community."
