'Girls on the Run has taught me that it’s ok to be whoever you want to be.'
-Joanne, age 10, Jefferson
Girls on the Run is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls ages 8 to 13. The programs combine training for a 5K or 1-mile community running event with healthy living education.
We offer 10-week programs during the fall and spring seasons. Volunteer coaches engage the girls in games and running-based workouts that encourage emotional, social, psychological and physical development.
Another addition to the growing steampunk city of Ruins of San Victoria.
This is the home of Mr and Mrs Urmakare, a rather wealthy couple and part of the aristocrafts of the city. They made their fortune selling handcrafted pocketwatches, made of the highest quality. Word quickly spread through the city of the craftsmanship the couple offered and they were able to charge their customers accordingly.
Hope you like this build and for those who happened to be in Borlänge in about 1,5 weeks, this build will be part (a small part) of our upcoming steampunk CB.
Situated in the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park in Botany Cemetery, Sydney - the Art Deco Crematorium stands with great dignity.
Designed in 1937 by Louis Leighton Robertson and opened just a year later in 1938. Built by Lipscombe & Price.
I've wanted to see this beautiful and functional community Art Deco building for a long while.

Dates back to the 1870's, when the town of La Platte was moved away from its location on the Missouri River to a more inland site near the Platte River railroad crossing of the CB&Q Railroad.
The Intrepid serve as the spearhead in the Exodus fleet. It can quickly launch ships to intercept and investigate threats. It's thick hull armour can endure asteroids and intense radiation making it suitable to explore hostile environments. However it is not the most comfortable ship in the fleet, the living quartes are cramped and does not offer more than the most basic needs. It is not self sufficient and relies on other ships to fuel up it's life support systems.
The design of the SHIP is inspired by www.flickr.com/photos/crazy_texan/21419625522/in/gallery-... built by John Mofatt. One of my favourite SHIP.
The build is not quite finished. I will continue to improve it as it will be part of a CB by Swebrick called Exdodus. I will hopefully add some lights to the rear hangar area so it will be more visable.
There is a small M-motor built inside the engine, to make it spin. But I didn't have time to fit a batterypack inside the hull, but I'm pretty confident I can fit one. It will require that I take the whole ship apart... So I will do it 'later'.
The panels are also a bit blank. I want to add some more detailing.

Neighbors in East Tremont section of the Bronx have something great to brag about: the I Am East Tremont school mural at PS 58x.
The mural highlights the diversity of the neighborhood, the various activities the students enjoy doing in school, and noteworthy people in the community such as the Coquito Lady and firefighters.
If you find yourself on Washington St. and East Tremont, don’t forget to stop by and admire the mural.
For extra credit: can you identify Mrs. Gunn the principal?
Albion, Montana is simply a ghost town today, the end of its time long ago in the early 1960's. At some point, a wooden sign was erected with dates relating to its time as a community and someone also added braces to the outside walls as they began to bow out. Today there are only bird droppings on the floor and an old upright piano contained within and the sound of a board on the little antiroom on this end swinging in the wind. The gravel road in the background leads off to Sky Ranch and ultimately Camp Crook, South Dakota. (9-30-2022)

Everyone's favorite Toydarian! :D
Built for the Eurobricks Star Wars Episode I Community Build.
If had skipped the underside it would have spared me a lot of hassle.
At first it was impossible to carry the ship the underside panels, the would break or come lose. But by now the are more sturdy, but there is som stress that always threaten to break the panels apart.

How do you welcome someone into your house and in your neighborhood? This is the question that elementary students from PS 236 wrestled with and explored while creating this mural.
As you can see their imagination is boundless and the result is a fantastical land where a pink elephant, a purple octopus, a monkey and several other characters along with students and adults live together in harmony.
The mural was graciously sponsored by Councilman Cabrera who was present for the ribbon cutting celebration. So, if you ever walk into PS 236 in the Bronx, feel welcomed.

Thrive Collective returned to BSSWA for a second consecutive year, and brought street art legend Sonic BAD to help us develop a Street Art 101 curriculum. The results are breathtaking, as approximately 180 students collaborated with Sonic to bring their vision to life.

The Forum, a community building in Norwich, Norfolk.
It stands opposite the St Peter Mancroft Church. Designed by Michael Hopkins and Partners, the Forum was built as a millennium project for the East of England and finished in October 2001. Built on the site of the previous Norwich Library which burnt down in 1994, the Forum is visited by more than 2.5 million people every year. The building is home to the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium (NML) library, the local Tourist Information Centre, and the BBC East offices and studios, where the regional television news bulletin BBC Look East and local radio station BBC Radio Norfolk are based.
Since The Forum opened, the amphitheatre-like steps at the front have provided a venue for many different functions such as: amateur theatrical performances, outdoor opera, musical competitions, art exhibitions, processions, celebrations and a real-ice skating rink.
Because the forum is funded partly by lottery grants, they hold certain events which are free of charge for people to attend. For example, Retro Arcade 2: Megablast in which Fusion (a digital gallery) is transformed into a vast array of gaming machines.
The Forum is also perfectly placed for people to meet and have certain social events safe in the knowledge that others from the area will know where it is. It is seen as a very social spot and is notorious for attracting skaters and free runners who parade their skills to the crowds surrounding them. In keeping with its image of being a notorious meeting place within the city, gamers have chosen the forum as the place to hold their first 3DS streetpass event within the city.
The Forum is part of Norwich 12, a collection of notable buildings in Norwich spanning the Norman, medieval, Georgian, Victorian and modern eras.

In the gigantic municipal housing complex Karl-Marx-Hof in Vienna Heiligenstadt, which was opened in 1930, there was the "luxury" of running water and a toilet in every flat, which was still rare at that time, but there were no bathrooms and washing machine connections. As a communal facility, so-called wash houses were built in two inner courtyards where bodies and laundry could be washed. Gradually, these wash houses lost their importance and function. Eventually, one of them was converted into a museum, which always focuses on socially significant events of the past. Only the name Wash house has remained for the museum.
