Red foxes live around the world in many diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and deserts. They also adapt well to human environments such as farms, suburban areas, and even large communities. The red fox's resourcefulness has earned it a legendary reputation for intelligence and cunning.
Like a cat's, the fox's thick tail aids its balance, but it has other uses as well. A fox uses its tail (or “brush”) as a warm cover in cold weather and as a signal flag to communicate with other foxes.
After the July flood took my PC workstation, I have now set up an improvised extension and can occasionally upload a picture to flickr and assign a few favs. I hope that I will soon be able to comment on your photos again in the usual way. Until then, I ask for your forbearance and patience.
Bugs sitting on the camera bag that he has taken a liking to and gazing up at me willing me to understand what he is trying to communicate to me. He is so cute when he does this.
Communicating by written word, or even paying by cheque, are activities becoming outdated or obsolete. I love writing with this pen which I have had for most of my adult life, but nowadays such a pleasure is confined to birthday, greetings or Christmas cards.

The really amazing thing about being shut away and separated is that we are not so much shut away with all the communication possibilities we have, which makes our lives so much easier. I remember when I had children in Brazil and my family were in Britain, and Gerry, my husband's family were here in the USA it was almost impossible to talk to one another, even telegrams did not necessarily make it, we had to rely on the good old letter, that took its sweet time! But today through the internet etc I am able to keep in touch with my family and friends in Europe, Canada, South America and any state here in the USA. A miracle indeed! Always look on the bright side my friends.
My original photo was taken on the iPhone and then I added another work and new dimensions through PicMonkey and Photoshop and Lightroom.
This work is done for Continuing with my Positive Flags of the Nations with a tribute to Finding the Beauty That Surrounds Us. Also for Finding the Beauty in the World Today Despite the Hardships Given Us by the Coronavirus. And for the Monitor Madness group.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

... every two months, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina (Sicily) sends me on a mission for three days (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Saint Anne ... In my spare time, free from commitments of work, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs I present here were all taken in February of this year 2022; I took photos according to the dictates of street photography, I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand and very willing to let themselves be photographed (maybe ... that the islanders are open-minded, eager and used to communicate with strangers ..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work, some fishermen were intent on repairing their nets, a lady showed me one of her beautiful work, a blanket she made with knitting needles , hanging on her balcony (it reminded me of the shawls my grandmother made, also made with hand knitting needles); all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except three, taken in the dark in the port of Milazzo, the port of departure and arrival with hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands.
This SavannahSparrow was flicking its wings when another one flew close. I am assuming this is the same behaviour as the Eastern Bluebird when partners flies back.
The continuing story of the wasp nest in my fence. All three of them are touching antennae and communicating: "Hey let's get that guy with the camera - he's getting a little too close." They didn't attack and I still maintained my delicate relationship with the colony. I knew if I took enough shots I'd get something cool like this trio.
They remind me of a tri-blade propeller on an airplane.

Not much to see here... Anyway I hope that this picture can communicate a sort of feeling, mood.
After have missed the last cable car up to mount Lagazuoi (2.778 m) and have hiked something more then an hour to reach the top, I had just enough time to pitch my tent, fix a few things, take some sunset shots... and be surrounded for almost all night by a thick bank of clouds!
What to do in these cases? ...
The moon was appearing time to time... I could not count on the landscape, so I had to invent something, which in this case was exactly what I was doing: observing the moon playing hide and seek between clouds and mists :-)

Cangas del Narcea is the largest council in the autonomous community of the Principality of Asturias and one of the largest in Spain. It is located in the southwest of the Principality, in the heart of the so-called Puerta de Asturias. Its capital is Cangas del Narcea, which is crossed by the Narcea river from which its name comes (Narcea valley) and by the Naviego river (luiña). It limits to the north with Allande and Tineo, to the west with Ibias (which is accessed through the Puerto del Connio and the Pozo de las Mujeres Muertas and Alto de Valvaler), to the south with Degaña (which is accessed through the Puerto del Rañadoiro) and the Leonese municipality of Laciana (accessed through the Puerto de Leitariegos), and to the east with Somiedo.
It has a population of 12,947 inhabitants (INE, 2017), with capital in the town of Cangas del Narcea, and its populations with the largest number of inhabitants are, in this order, the capital Cangas del Narcea, Corias, Cibuyo, Limés, Moal, Llano, Rengos and Carballo. Its capital is at a distance of 84 kilometers from Oviedo, and its main communication route is the AS-15, which communicates with the plateau through the Rañadoiro tunnel and through the so-called Narcea corridor allows connection with the center of the city. region.
Until the 30s of the 20th century, its place name was Cangas de Tineo, being the river Narcea the one that gave it the new name.
I Know Many Communicate With a Small Device
Telling the world their hopes, fears, and triumphs
So I will tell the world my stories of a friend I call nature
Showing that beauty of a creation started long ago
With canyons and mountains and valleys and ridges
I do so want to walk and explore, camera in hand.
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one afternoon in Grand Canyon National Park while taking in views at Navajo Point. This view is looking to the west across temples, buttes, and so many other eroded formations present in this part of the national park. A small portion of the Colorado River can be seen in the left of middle portion of this image. By angling my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward, I felt I was able to create a more sweeping view across all these formations present. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 4 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
