The Lippo Centre in Hong Kong was designed by the architectural firm Paul Rudolph & Associates and opened in 1988. One of the most interesting and unique features of the Lippo Centre is its distinctive "bird" design, with the towers' facades resembling an abstract interpretation of a bird in flight. The building's design incorporates bold geometric shapes and unconventional angles, making it stand out among the more traditional skyscrapers in the area. The towers are often recognized for their striking, blue-glass exteriors and are sometimes referred to as the "Koala Bear" towers due to the way the design evokes the image of a koala clinging to a tree.
